If I may say, the special dividend to which you refer is not truly a 'dividend' in the traditional sense...
IE a payment to equity holders out of the surplus earnings of a company...
That hopefully increase year on year...
No...it is more properly characterised as a return of capital...
and as such ...it is likely to be of a one off
or at least paid to equity holders on an infrequent basis...
as businesses are sold or spun off
As such...the sorts of numbers mentioned
Re Trinidad alone .....
are eminently realistic and highly achievable

Quarrymen..., if you can read prds prospectus it states a special dividend should be forthcoming on trinadad when it is monetised, note no drilling involved here and proven that injection of co2 is liable to nearly double production on older Wells.
But do agree with you on the more enthusiastic sh on here regarding the the amount of a special dividend, with 255 million shares on issue at £2 a share that equates to £510 million, unless I'm missing something here ..for f..k sake calm down troops,....3 to 5pence would be wonderful for a micro cap imo.
Quarrymen yes they come out of the blue.I recently got a 42.75p divi from BRH so fingers crossed here.
Quarryman1 Hi, in a similar position but came in at 2p and averaged up to 5p. What is most attractive is the possibility of special dividends i.e. say 50p a share (just making up a number there) when pieces of the business get sold (most likely keeping a stake). So share price is not everything.
I'm kind of nervous naturally, but I've done my calculation of risk and reward and I'll top slice if the short term price gets to what I think it's worth pre-results. Otherwise I'm sitting here. I actually find the Trinidad stuff the more value and more interesting long term.
You should be completely comfortable with the risk and only invest what you are cosy with doing.
Thanks vegas.Looking forward to the £2 dividend!!!
I have every faith in PG and his team otherwise I wouldn't invest a fair chunk of my pension pot in PDR.I am not a trader and I'm in this for the long term. But guys, please don't raise people's hopes by saying the SP will be 30+ p on spud or it will rise in 10-15 days or we will get a dividend. We simply don't know.I have a lot of respect for the posters on here, some are very knowledgeable and I've learned a lot and I'm very grateful.
Hi Quarryman ..... that's a nice holding.
Please be alert and consider what you may want to do if/when the share price or juicy Divi gets to £2 .... this will take your SIPP PRD on its own to the Life Time Allowance for all your pensions.
Something to think about as anything more than LTA gets clobbered by the taxman ....
Worth considering some professional advice !!
ATB,
Vegas
Hello Quarryman1.
Investing is for the long term, buying and selling (trading) is short term. 14p, as an investment is good and could even be good for a near term trade.
Realising the PRD potential requires patience as an investment.
Hopefully you’ve got long enough before you retire not to worry about short term fluctuations in the price. Medium to long term this is only going up. It might even shoot up in 10-15 days ;)
Keywords there BB. Value and Invested :)
Quarryman, what if you were paid a dividend….would SP be as important then?
I am new to investing, just recently transferred my pension pot to a SIPP.I have 527,000 shares in PRD at an average price of 14p.The value of my investment is totally dependant on the SP,not the value of the company. When it comes to selling shares to fund my retirement my sole concern is the SP.
Evening
Very good post, Bradley...if I might say so
(and it wasn't even too lengthy ...
see what I did there!
ATB
The Journey seems longer to those who worry about SP rather then those that worry about value.
Let's talk about PRD and its projects since inception.
More projects now then ever before
Dilution to get those projects? YES
SP suffering because of these Raises? NO
It has suffered it went from 20p down to 14p brad! No it didn't! If you look it went from under 2p to now 14p in a very short amount of time!
If your sole concern is the SP and not the growth of the company and its projects then you need to ask yourself why am I invested!
100baggers deserves 100 bagger patience see you all at the other side and I expect it to be much more expensive to jump in within 3 to 6 months.
