Tint small investment trafigura wise, can always write off or sell out, notice never added since, even at these levels, unsure price they paid
I keep hoping that we will get some exciting news to help things either before it at the AGM but feel it will just be snippets of news to keep investors happy. I keep wondering too what Trafigura must be thinking of their investment and how they see the company progressing to the next level.

We need an operational update to help this dog along
Maybe someone will be dumb enough to take this dog over
I would certainly be a lot more concerned with the recent SP drop if this was due to high volume selling. It appears a few sells, not even totalling £10k, can drop the MC by 2% or over £500k today. This has been happening for some time now on very low volume.
Personally okay to wait a little and review at the end of this year (when markets may be al little better behaved!) may even top up a little more if this keeps dropping as I really can't see why this is valued so low!. I know the debt situation is of a concern to some but I don't believe this is the main reason. Just not a good time for the markets at the moment, but this IMO is the one of the best times to pick up undervalued companies on AIM
Levine needs to show soe results rather than talk a good game, he is turning into the boris of the AIM
Also, currency exchange rates with a weaker pound won't help the general market and inflationary pressures - might help PPC though when converting back to £ at in the results!
Interest rates will need to move much higher and in the very short here in the UK, if they do, it might well cost more to service debt and mortgages etc.. but if it helps to prop up Sterling it would help the reduce imported inflation as well as Energy prices after the reverse affect right now and compounding the situation. Looks like the $ US will be safest bet for most investors and it looks like US will go much higher with short term interest rate jumps and at a much quicker pace!
Short term pain with high interest rates is needed right now IMO!!
Good job my mortgage is fixed - but only until this time next year :-(
Looks like the tail is wagging this dog now :)
My rationale is that supply uncertainty will be the driver for higher prices. Yes, demand may reduce due a slow down but for prices to fall it would need to drop off considerably. The high prices in itself are already reducing demand, discounting any threat of recession, as consumers are more careful with energy usage. But you can only reduce energy consumption by so much and for a limited time frame.
Perfect storm I would say IMO - could go either way
You only need a little ripple/disruption in the supply chain to create a large wave further down. Even if the price hits $150 per barrel or higher, it probably will mean PPC will drop anyway :-)
Tend think opposite with oil, IF recession hits think these prices will come down, notice already oil prices r coming down of late
If you are a small O & G company looking to add assets, what a time to start looking to acquire O & G companies. If you are looking at offloading assets, no so much a good time...
High commodity prices/low valuation - which one with break first..
My guess is that O & G commodity prices will increase much much higher in the short term, so my money is that MC valuations will move higher in the next few months and the low MC values will be highlighted to the traders/investors. Unfortunalty, only when traders/investors come out of their shell shocked state that is!
All IMO
Good Luck..
Will oil be next on list 4 fall back list following commodities lower as world resession takes hold. Is starting too drop
to get the sp to where people seem.to think.this so should be.
Silence is certainly not golden at the moment - again just got to wait and see what the next 6 months brings but the company don't appear to be generating a lot that is exciting the market at the moment.

Couldn't resist another little top up at 1.41p - very low volume has took this much lower than is true value IMO. Seems very little share dealing appetite at the moment due to terrible market conditions - I think I might just turn off the share portfolio and come back in December!
Good Luck All..
My buy showing as a sell, why?
Fair play Dillbert.. and I wouldn't miss me here either.. and great of the s/p went up if /when I sell up my last tranche.. the long suffering here deserve it..
No doubt PL doesn't like to lose money.. and no doubt he has tried very hard to avoid that here.. but operationally this co. has been very poorly performing for such a long time now, alas - and those DP wells are just the latest egs of that - and PL can only control that on ground implementations/outages/fixes to a small extent..
(still, I expect he has a bunch of top accountants engineering as little losses as possible here for him personally, from what has been a badly performing company for many years now.. eg lending from personal wealth at good interest rates for him more than ppc.l, favourable tax arrangements in sundry shapes and forms off the back paper losses on his ongoing 'investment' here ... nice salaries he, his son and mates take out of here.. etc.. )
More generally, this co would be bankrupt years ago unless PL and other shareholders eldlessly save/d it.. but his original Paraguay out of controledness would be the cause of that.. so he has obligations off the back of that.. etc...
Hi Steven49
You don't have to keep reminding is why you have sold. You've made your choice so there is no need to come back and justify it.
I hope NTM sells his last tranche too. When he announces that the price usually rises.
I'm still going to hold. Rich men don't like to lose money and I'm sure PL sits nicely in that category.
Good luck with your future investments.
Dill.
Argentine Economy Minister Martin Guzman resigned Saturday, marking the biggest departure of President Alberto Fernandez’s government after infighting within the ruling coalition escalated.
Guzman announced his decision in a seven-page letter published on Twitter. No replacement was immediately announced.
Another thing that swayed me was argentina's economy, 60% inflation and rising, there economy is in a, state and resignations in government, many investors will not want invest in those unstable country's, notice windfall tax on many big company's not affecting ppc
I agree to some extent comeonvog what I find really frustrating though is that with.all the knowledge and experience PL has and with a member of Trafigura on the board that they haven't stepped things up 2 or 3 gears on the oil and gas front.
Maybe I'm expecting too much and this is all they can deliver at the moment.
I also found it very deflating that for some time OK has argued that they had definitely found the right place to drill in Paraguay at the moment, only to then find out the chance of success was 17% from.what PL has said I was expecting at least 50%.
Ah well, life is full of surprises maybe we will get some pleasant ones in the next six months. I certainly hope so.
Just one other thing I was pondering and I know they've said no to this in the past but do people think.now is the right time for a consolidation?

NM i would hope he understands that and we will get some corporate news soon. I know i am mostly positive when i post but lets be honest we are in a better shape now than the last two years, our production is going up and we are receiving more $ for our sales. I cant see any big spend for this year so we should show some retained earnings or pay down of the debt . I would also like to see some buybacks at some stage or the company sold for 3p+.
has to offer at the AGM. He always talks the company up and is good at persuading people his next venture is going to be a success but the sp speaks for itsle at the moment and I would truly like to see some fresh ideas that will drive the company and hence the sp forward. I'm hoping by year end there will be some progress but he hasn't really dramatically transformed the company. It's been more of a case of slow and steady for a number of years now whilst the sp remains at these low values and a lot of dilution to get us to this point too.
Here's hoping the next six months to a year will show a marked improvement but imho - something has definitely got to change.

Best wishes steven49 - hope all goes well.
Yes, it's a tricky climate - if there was more certainty in the market I think lots of shares would do a lot better and reflect their company's true value. Here's hoping we have a return to how markets operate and our investments receive the rewards they deserve,

My buy today is showing as a sell.
Good luck steven49 and I get why you sold up here and I took plenty from your posting here. thanks !
(I came close to dumping all my small remaining holding here this week - those Salta DP Well costs scare me, and nearly broke my small remaining spirit here - but I just sold down one more tranche instead.. so only got a couple of grand left here now....and I know well I wouldnt be missed here if I sold out.. but fully understood on that .. )
ps having 5k gbp in here at 1.25p average is a bet i'd consider interesting here now.. even if markets stay bad for long..this would have to go close to 1 p for me to have a chance of getting such a bet live .. it may well not of course and sad for many here if it does .. but I'd only go for it here in circumstancs such as that, around now....
