The one and only brasso is back.. my favourite poster of all time here.. and saved my a bunch of money by my listening to him call it as it was for a long time here when there were many others here were talking delusional rubbish.. ( the same many of who are still here but have progressed to talking semi delusional rubbish only now, in fairness )
Something transformational needs happen here to change the tune. a big discovery.. a meaningful bounce in PoO+G ... something left field corporate that's accretive as opposed to the standard ppc corporate action that's wealth destructive
( the performance of this company has been abject for a long time, sadly.. but that could be, at last , in the process of changing around now.. hopefully.. but awful damage has been done and that takes time to reverse out of )
this company has struggled for the last 4-5 years with a need to raise funds to find their next patch. Having lots of shares = liquidity but it also makes it very hard for the SP to rise, and the board know this. So unless they start to produce a dividend they need to the SP to rise otherwise why would people invest further?
Hello Brasso, haven't heard from you for a while. Agree that buy backs would not be in keeping with PPC modus operandi, however with Trif on board there behaviour does seem to have changed in more recent times which gives me some hope that this SP will recover. That said evidence would suggest otherwise. Hopefully Monday's call will give us all some hope.
This PPC BB get worse! PPC do placings every year to raise cash. Why would thy buy back shares?
A buy back would be lovely, but with Peter Levone owning just under 30%, I can't see it as he would beed to get an exemption from having to go for a takeover.
Would be nice though and I do think there should be corporate action to clear the seller.
there are currently 2bn+ shares available in the company with a MCAP of just £30m, would seem reasonable to take out 10% of the share base for £3m, either with cash through sales revenue, or cash through finance, which should be low just now.
Don't quite understand the theory and practice behind the company buying back shares. I thought one of the issues with President was the liquidity of shares available to be bought - wouldn't this reduce that. Further wouldn't someone - on behalf of the company if they were doing this have to declare it - is it a legal practice?
Just trying to understand if it is being done - how it works?
Atb,

would there be any chance that the company is buying back shares, or would they have to declare this beforehand? Seems like a good return for a current £3m on their part and every shareholder too. Should have plenty of $$ flowing right now.
Plenty of chunky buys but like you say, must be a reason in the background that's keeping the SP suppressed which feels like a seller. I didnt think my 12000 shares purchase this morning was gonna shift it for £180 but i have been steadily building over the past 6 months and hopefully in at a decent price before any news drops
Buyers coming in b4 results Monday.still feel seller still there holding back move higher
Easy to sell today but very difficult to buy at the moment.
