*NT for a sell
No problem Josh. I expected results given the timescale in Feb which didn’t happen.
Today’s action shows
Vol Sold 1,383,610
Vol Bought 333,624
And no NT either. Another massive sell off in process
Dean, I'm glad to see you have a strong strategy and you're sticking to it. That was my initial gripe with the original poster, who seemed completely rudderless although I shouldn't judge so harshly.
I am keen however to hear what deadline has been missed? Is this a deadline set by the company or is this your own deadline set by impatience to see out the results that are due imminently?
Dean , no important dates have been missed, as all PJ has said is news is due in the near future.
Any Aim share is going to be speculative, especially in the junior exploration area, but in my opinion
PJ has the right credentials to hopefully make this a great success for all shareholders involved.
When you start questioning/second guessing yourself , instead of standing by your judgement in the first place. Then you might aswell give up playing this game. Even the big players are taking a correction to the down side at the moment. To many people want jam today, tomorrow and every day after. Doesn't work that way.
Josh, that’s twisting my words, be careful not to do things like that. I’ll break it down again.
It’s silly to average down in an exploration company with no assets.
It’s not silly to buy in to a company you have belief in it and you set out a strategy for your risk and reward. Circumstances change and unfortunately the share price has fallen from a cliff edge over a lengthy duration which was longer than I anticipated when I set out my strategy. As an investor I’m conscious of my money that’s invested and when important dates are missed for whatever reasons I’m looking to review my strategy again. Therefore rather than putting myself underwater financially I would look to exit at a certain time to prevent that from happening, weather the share price will rise or not in time. There’s always another entrance point.
You have to strictly manage your money and when I bought in here I bought in low, I had seen the timescales provided by management for my risk and reward strategy. Therefore at this current time a key deadline has passed and the share price is falling, therefore gives me concerns and makes me rethink my strategy.
Don’t take my advice and in no way am I asking you to agree with it, I’m doing what works from me and based on past experience within exploration.
It’s my money at the end of the day and I run a tight ship, otherwise I wouldn’t make money doing what I do.
AS Perhaps I was a little bullish in my first post and perhaps I didn't explain the strategy that seems most logical to me in the best manner. The way I view these exploration companies is that it's expected that their price will fluctuate based on sentiment until results are posted. As you say you should understand the risk-reward situation. Initially I think it's wise to invest a portion of what you're willing to risk, whilst keeping the rest of the pot to then invest should the price go down, i.e. averaging down. I also have nothing against cutting and bailing should new information be made available that changes the outlook on the company. i.e. new warrants issued below price, poor results etc. but when there is no news apart from new acquisitions and the unlocking of further value, and waiting until 30% down to cut and run, well that's non sensical to me.
i was the same position a few years ago with BMN and EUA. They were going nowhere so i bailed. Lesson learnt. I invested here because of the fundamentals. End of!
Josh, to be fair to Dean he makes a valid point re increasing a holding in a speculative junior mining company just because the sp has fallen; equally to sell your holding just because the price has fallen during a period of no news makes just as little sense.
Investors should be here because they like the odds of one of the many projects at least hitting the big-time and multibagging the current sp. Equally, they should have carefully weighed up the risk-reward and only invested an ammount they are happy to write-off in a very worst case scenario.
What is ridiculous and tedious are posters moaning that the sp fluctuates on a day-to-day basis in advance of meaningful news being released; guess they have very little to keep them occupied in lock-down Britain.
Dean I appreciate your views. My I ask though, with you're logic against averaging down and classing it as "silly" in mind, do you believe holding an initial investment in this company as "silly". If you believe it's silly to average down you also imply it's silly to hold or invest. With that inference my I ask why you're on this BB at all? To let others know they are silly for being here?
Josh,
The next support level sits between 1.80-2.00. This has been with the bears for months and it’s caused carnage with the SP.
Regarding the companies financial position, yes no debt BUT warrants deter from the value of the company as 1. It creates a larger pool of shares 2. Decreases the value of those shares. So without results this is generally how it works until you get good news.
Averaging down on a company that has to date no money makers for the company is silly. Averaging down on a company that has multiple assets, physical assets that generate income is sensible. Projects that are not proven to be successful or not an asset until the produce.
Lots of projects is good good, it diversifies its portfolio. BUT, too many projects going at the one time without bringing money in from actual finds in the long run is not good for current share holders. The setup and running of these projects eats in to bank monies very quickly therefore you need proven results to attract investment, without giving away discounts and hammering your other share holders at the same time.
Dean, only if you have a very short term view. Trading is in my view, not a way to get rich, especially when you factor in trading costs. The only way to get rich is to buy a stock you think has long term potential, and hold it for the long term.
Dean whilst I understand exploration companies are inherently risky business, I still disagree with your conclusion. Yes there was a bull run, but if you look at the chart at a whole you can see we are now sitting on a support level and looking to start climbing again.
Very surprised you see averaging down as "silly". This is a company who has only grown and diversified their portfolio in recent months, as well as looking to create more revenue through clever management of projects. It also is still one of the few exploration companies with cash in the bank that isn't provided through loans. The share price at the moment has been hit through the exercising of warrants but will certainly rebound one imminent news.
I disagree with you both Troken and Josh.
There was clearly a bull run on the share that’s why the guys are not selling. Results here are over due also, so could strike any day. Warrants and warrant selling is having a major impact on the SP as well as lack of drilling results and sentiment.
Someone getting out at evens rather than a loss and “averaging down” is experience and a smart move as it may have the potential to fall even further therefore leaving the PI in a loss position within an “exploration company”. No one wants to be averaging down in an exploration company, that’s just silly as there is no guarantee where it will settle, when the results will drop and if the results are good.
Beggars belief this post - should always evaluate the fundamentals and if anything changes negatively to when you invested then yes get out. If the fundamentals have remained the same then stay put or better, top up, and average down. As Troken has just put, waiting until it drops 30% and cashing out is completely non-sensical. You should have jumped 15% ago or topped up. This is either inexperience or insanity.
Good luck to those who keep the faith. ATB.
"this share has dropped just over 30% in 2 weeks I might have to bail if doesn't start earning its keep"
Yep, buy high, sell low - always a winning investment strategy!
Warrants were over then there were more warrants. Needs results now let's hope PJ has got something.
Needs a few blue days now! Results seem to be take too long
