No matter what ways Russia finds for its exports, the fact is it has to sell at heavy discount - - and so called friends of Russia will squeeze as much discount as possible.... Russia will not be able to to go on like this for very long...
Easi, wholly owned subsidiary ???
Wizz Air Holdings plc is a company registered in Jersey(CI), is managed from Switzerland, and has a number of subsidiary airlines, one of which is in Hungary and another in Abu Dhabi. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ and the European airline, and is based in Abu Dhabi.
Russia has reportedly banned all flights from all EU countries, among others, and so these are Abu Dhabi to Moscow flights only. Abu Dhabi wasn't a country sanctioned by Russia.
Good post...buy sell repeat.
The sanctions will potentially make a lot of dubious characters and countries richer. Whilst the west shoots its own foot off.
I don't know how Airbus will feel about an EU operator flying into Russia. At one point the EU was making pilots who flew sanctioned customers personally responsible and threatening to invalidate their licence.
As for Leccie and Gas, my boiler hasn't been on since march and water is heater by solar thermal.
So a small consumer until the winter when i guess my gym activity will increase. If I'm still based in this country then....
Wizz Air is Hungarian company. Aka Victor Oban country. So NOT surprising.
However, Cheap Russian oil and gas to China, turkey, Hungary and India gives them a further competitive advantage over the west.
Turkey serving as the gate to Russia gives them a competitive advantage.
Now Wizz air flying to Russia gives them a competitive advantage.
At the point the sanctions are slowly crumbling and increasingly looking stupid.
Lets not forget the big European freeze coming and the crazy inflation currently.
Wow, Wizz air us going to bail out Russia. I have a large wadge of Wizz air stock. As long as Wizz do not fuel up, take on Potable water, use Russian pilots or have any servicing done in Russia, it might even be safe to board the aircraft. What will be interesting ia how many Russians will be on the inbound flights (count on one hand) and how many will be on the outbound (remembering the scenes at Kabul airport recently).
so wizz air - restarting flights to moscow.
lots of talk of trade between western companies and russians via turkish back door.
for those who maintain no one will ever do business with the russians again
