Action, they just left walked out….leaving there supply lines from belgorod to Donbas massively exposed. What a bell you are…
While we’re at it, is it the Ukrainians you hate or the Russians you love?
5% of its tanks remain? You realise that Ukraine captured more tanks that it started with right? Confirmed independent intelligence with photos.
If it cant push or move anywhere how did it retake the area around Kharkiv? See your crap doesnt add up does it.
Russia has sent its entire army to that little area in the Donbas. It needs a 10-1 advantage to make gains. Those gains come at a heavy price. UKR will just artillery the crap out of Russian forces. Russia is losing 40-60 armoured units PER DAY and thats only the ones we have on photo.
UKR doesnt even have the 40 billion yet from the US or the 2 billion from the UK just announced. I also dont see any UKR moral problems or desire for peace talks.
You make it sound like Russia will take Donbas and the UKR will just let them keep it and not do anything.... tell me, the 8 years in Donbas what did UKR do to the occupying forces there? Good luck holding it with NATO weapons on the way
Im seeing an awful lot of filtered messages today lol
AJ - You forget there are two ways to win this war for UKR.
Win by force - kill as many Russians as they can so the rest lose the will to stay
Win by economic warfare - Sanction the crap out of Russia until it goes bankrupt like the Soviet union.
Russia is fighting the wealthiest countries in the world backed up by NATO the strongest military alliance in the world.
So tell me, how does Russia plan to win this?
I don't think he has...sweetheart!
I'm truly astounded that Russia has given up sooo much...one way and another...in order to flatten a potential asset, which they must know will be taken back by its owners fairly soon.
An ultranationalist state that wants to be in the EU? Lol just think about that statement for a moment.
They arent ultranationalist they are just anti Russia. Who can blame them? Even your own TV propaganda says Russia is isolated from the world with the whole world against them lol.
What good is a sea port without ships and under sanctions? You think anyone will let Russia use that port? The whole UN charter is against what Russia is doing. Welcome to the soviet state, hope you have fun on old computers and driving ladas. Id also look after your phone because you wont be getting any news ones any time soon.
You forgot the other great success of mariupol Pando, the steel works have been so damaged by Russian shelling the entire plant is now going to be levelled by the 'liberators' . The one single asset they could claim they smashed to pieces such that is has to be levelled.
Victory indeed.
Action Jackson. Yes Russia did try, thats why they sent in the VDV which got SLAUGHTERED on the airfield. An Entire cargo plane of paratroops was shot out the sky with dead bodies falling from it all over Kiev. Those dead bodies had packed parade uniforms in their rucksacks.
They also created the worlds biggest military traffic jam because it ran out of fuel. Couldnt encircle the city. and lost over 20k men in the process, either injured or dead. They tried to take it with 60k men because they thought Ukrainians wanted them there ROFL.
NEWSFLASH - THEY DIDNT!
Russia is trying to take Ukraine with less than 100k fighting men left of its original 160k it sent. Grandads army is coming as reinforcements out of the dementia wards.
What Russia thinks are victories are actually embarrassments because the goals were so easy for a modern military that everyone expected Russia to roll over these places. 3 whole months to get a city on the border of Russia and in the process had to level it to ruin.... A city full of Russian so called speakers that Putin wanted to liberate? LOL is that what liberation looks like from Russia? Force 100k to live in camps in siberia and wreck the city.
Mother Russia is a joke. a farce and an embarrassment to modern military forces. Your tanks suck, your army sucks, your planes suck and your boats sink. Your government are idiots and you live under a dictator. You will only ever fail because failure is in your blood.
"Try the Beeb, which is doing everything to say Ukraine is winning."
I don't know what 'beeb' you are listening too or watching. The BBC has a low ember burn narrating from a Russian angle and has been from the start when it was full of hw quickly Russia would walk over Ukraine, then pushing rather hard the fault argument being down to Ukraine, then repeatedly raising the blame for war damage on Zelensky for not just surrendering and this morning Bowen pusing a doubt native of Ukrainian forces weakening. With the BBC it is subtle and sophisticated spin adopted from the Blair era. Technically the actual situation will be mentioned but then it will be cross examined for the next five minutes until the listener is doubting the truth.
https://defence-blog.com/ukraine-receives-first-mi-17-helicopters-from-us/
Get an angle on ow extensive the new kit is. I bet you weren't expecting this!
The Russian generals will be able to able chalk up each deployment and know what is going to happen next. Will they throw the towel in sooner or later?
anon, Kyiv assault a 'faint'? You are off your face. It was a major assault that was successfully repulsed. Even Jeremy Bowen on the BBC described it as a defeat for Russia (not victory for Ukraine I noted) and he is one of the main Putin protagonists on the BBC.
Russia may well try and dig in to hold a territorial gain. But there are still substantial Ukrainian resources and a call up of more troops being trained with NATO kit. There are a number of attack methods available to Ukraine and the Russian front line is very long. Also the Ukraines are no longer restrained by fighting in civilian zones given nearly all civies have gone and there is no building or infrastructure left to protect. So Ukraine can fire at will with weapons that have greater range than the Russians. It is entirely conceivable Ukraine will counter attack and based on previous battles, will succeed in constantly breaking the land corridor, The Crimea bridge will be taken out at some point, Crimea will be cut off and then retaken. The Donbas will be the focus wit Mariupol being a significant take back moment.
Ukrainian forces have been freed up from the north and northwest. Over the next week or two the full impact of the new weapons will begin to make a significant impact. The rush by Russian forces to secure Donbas territory in advance of the further deployment of western weapons will be reversed in due course.
Or, the Russian generals knowing what is coming next, will move to save the slaughter of the Russian lives and call it a day.
Pandamonia...if the cap fits...
Putin gonna end the world with his nuclear bombs? Hasn't happened...
Victory day... 9th May... Dident happen...
Poly going to sanctioned and forced to go into liquidation.. Hasn't happened...
NATO gonna regret winding putin up and starting world war 3...hasent happened...
Sweden / Finland joining nato is going to create a nuclear war... Hasent happened...
Etc etc etc, it's all garbage..
You haven't once mentioned the international Red Cross, the Geneva convention or how much its going to cost to keep 3000 not very happy pow's in your azov argument... Unbalanced...
Theres loads more but I've stated my point...
Yes I'm invested in poly and yes I made be a fool, but nothings changed, the company is still operating and making good profits, my bet is this war will be behind us in the next 12 months max and those invested will reap rewards... I may be wrong and I may be a fool, we shall see...
Enjoy you're weekend...
Anon, I suggest you find more places to read because you have no idea what you are talking about.
You need 3-1 to take an area and 5-1 to hold it. You can kick someone out with asymmetrical warfare. Guess why its called Asymmetrical? Because a small force can defeat a much larger one. Its happened many times in history because large forces are easily hit and small forces aren't and eventually the losses build up and invaders leave. How do you think they took a train out in the middle of Russian held Melitopol? Now imagine that 100x Now extend that timeframe by years.
The fact you think Kiev was a fake attack shows how little you know and is a common Russian troll view because it tries to diminish the failure. They lost 20 entire BTG's there which was 15% of their total force and some of their most elite forces too trying to take Kiev in a direct assault. Got slaughtered.
They can hit that entire land corridor using Artillery and they dont need Nukes. They can just smash it with the 140k shells they have been given by the US. Nato are training Ukrainian troops right now on new weapon systems such as Brimstone with a 40 mile range. How long until the US give them 350 mile range missiles? They are resisting for now but one massacre and the US will send those too.
With regards to Russian air power. They are good at bombing defenceless cities but that's it. Plenty have been shot down and Russia do have plenty more but they dont have guided bombs and are low on Pilots because they dont want to be deployed and get shot down. Entire sections of Russian air power is missing and nobody knows why because Russia needs it. People think its been neglected and isn't combat ready due to budget cuts. Russia doubled its ground forces because it knew this war was coming and it knows Ukraine doesnt have much airforce so it obviously cut back on air power investment. Now its in a war it didn't expect to be in. They will have some success in the Donbas but it will cost them a lot and I doubt long term they will hold it and the UN will not allow them to keep land because it tells China it can take Taiwan and nobody will stop them. So its either stop Russia now or spend 30 years dealing with similar problems around the world.
Oh, one quick point.
Why is the Azivstol thing such a big story?
The reality is, those in there were being held in a siege and it was only a matter of time before they got starved out.
Yet they're somehow heroic, because they've held the Russians up?
I don't get it.
Held up how, exactly, pure tokenism apart?
But it does suit a narrative, I suppose.
Well it was Aljazeera and RT before the latter got cut off.
Of course, cutting off RT is acceptable, but when Russia did the same it was used as just another stick to beat it with.
The truth is I try not to read to much from anywhere, because I know what it all is. Utter gonads, from both sides.
That apart , I do look at actual things, like a map of the land that Russia controls.
I've been consistent in saying this;
Russia has to get that path/gateway.
It is strategically so important and it will do anything to maintain it, now it has it.
The rest is immaterial to me, because regardless of what's being said, the rest is not important to Russia.
I've also said the attack on Kiev was just a feint/diversion, but I was laughed at then too and Ukraine kicked them out.
Someone talked about how many troops you need to kick someone out.
I believe it's something like 5-1, which would explain Russia's losses.
Are we really supposed to believe Russia didn't know this beforehand?
Good luck to Ukraine trying to kick the Russians out now they have that land.
It won't happen, unless there's a nuclear strike.
And even the US isn't that stupid.
As FA keeps saying, there will be a deal.
There always is.
And money is the only winner.
anon
"It's pathetic and people need to stop believing the stuff they're reading and open their eyes."
So, you get your information via telepathy do you?
Or is it from the one and only news agency, the one run by the government and where any dissenting journalists are jailed or poisoned? You mean that one source?
Russian military aviation engines are actually pretty poor and the tbo is shocking compared to something like the typhoon or f35…
Carry on reading Western media.
I've said what I think and will bet I'm not far off.
The whole thing is a proxy war for the US, so they can suss out Russia's capability, imo.
Someone will be telling me next that Russia's airforce has been wiped out.
Oh, shoot, someone already has said that, even though they haven't sent a plane in.
Which is a good job anyway, because they apparently can't build an engine without the Ukraine.
It's pathetic and people need to stop believing the stuff they're reading and open their eyes.
Yes anon, where are the other 90% if they’re calling up grandads and Syrians?
A general draft in Russia will rapidly change the level of support for the SMo…
Anon, the real fighters will be those fighting for their families, their home and their freedom.
The others are fighting because they’ve been told and paid to and they will never have the same drive as they aren’t losing their homes family and way of life.
You think the Ukrainians will just warehouse to weapons and give up? They will fire every bullet, missile, grenade and shell before admitting defeat. The BBC sky et al will show what they want but when the fat lady sings it won’t be a game of capitulation. Even though you’d like this all done and dusted to earn a couple of quid…

Struggling in Ukraine, Russia paves way to sign up over-40s for army
"https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russian-parliament-consider-allowing-over-40s-sign-up-military-2022-05-20/"
" 75% of the Russian army was sent to invade Ukraine. "
BB, this is why I can't take anything you say seriously.
It was 10%, at most.
Why do you continually post this rubbish?
Meanwhile, I'd love to place a bet that Russia will concede very little of what it has gained, when this is all over.
It's interesting how I'm apparantly a Russian.
I'm not. I can just see past the propaganda of both sides.
Anon, I have to say Pandas post is more likely. In fact I can see a case where western weapons increase in volumes and overall power to bring this to a close.
Russia won’t hold that corridor because in a civilised world there can’t be a victory for invaders.
The only question is how long the play will take till the final curtain.
anon, small percentage? 75% of the Russian army was sent to invade Ukraine. 30% of that has been destroyed. Russian is going to great lengths to recruit more, is paying mercenaries from all over the place trying to bolster the numbers. The Russian army and air force have been severally depleted which is why the Russian are being pulled further and further back to try and shore up what territory they do occupy. It is also why there is increasing talk about Ukraine heading south to retake Crimea, block the southwest route and then pincer the Donbas pushing Russia off all Ukraine territory. The war is an utter shambles for Russia, it has already lost being in retreat. Do the generals throw the towel in now or latter? Or even worse, keep fighting the war until they are defeated to the point of unconditional surrender?
Clearly you dont understand what happens when you try and hold land. The more land you hold the thinner your forces and the more open to attack you become. Russia has almost its entire army in 2 tiny regions of Ukraine. Its lost Kharkiv because 13 BTG's are not enough to hold an area. Luhansk and Donbas have 98 BTG's or less now. Almost 100k men at the start and now maybe 60-70k left uninjured. Ukraine will allow them to take villages and pull back whilst inflicting heavy costs for worthless land. Then as the Russian forces thin out they become vulnerable to Artillery, drones and ambushes. Kherson is now looking wobbly too because they had to pull forces out.
Russia is changing the law so old soldiers can serve again. In a Grandads Army, can you imagine the physical fitness of these people. Imagine being an Army working for money having to sleep in dirt holes in the rain or bombed out buildings with no roofs... Now imagine winter comes and the freezing cold. Nerves are frayed from fear and the elements take their toll.
Russia doesnt have a long game plan because it never thought it would be here in 3 months. What about 6 or 9 months. Economy is tanking back home. Food is running out and bankruptcies are mounting as sanctions bite. Supply chain has broken down and you cannot import products and you can get new computers.
Then 1 million reserves have had 3 months training with modern western weapons, Tanks and APC's. Artillery with laser guidance and drones have been upgraded to Reapers and Predators with 350 mile anti ship missiles. Now you can hit Sevastopol naval base and any ship in the Black Sea.
How does Russia deal with this?
