Maybe it does eh Lawrence.
Half of the BoD like to fiddle
Does that make you a rat?
He prefers the violin
Do you play the flute Lawrence?
Like the Pied piper of Hamlin
"Jesus Lawrence. You need a new bloody drum"
Just to be absolutely clear ...I do not play the drums.
Jesus Lawrence. You need a new bloody drum
Just to be clear CWWX. I wasn't making a comparison between woodford and Pog , only the reaction of H&L
That lot adds up to approx 33% and that includes lots of PI's
But my point was don't expect H&L to do a thing
Strukov at the moment holds in value about $27m its FA in the circles he keeps so with a nod and a wink he stands to gain much more in Russian hands, Our own government couldn't give a **** what happens to the British investors so why would Akimov, Strukov and Lioustiger et al.
The real massive gains here is 1) to acquire the company at the current shareholders expense except the Russian shareholders who I'm sure will be well rewarded and 2) once udder their control to put the wheels back on , put high octane fuel in the tank, take off the handbrake and let rip with production
How this is sun 3p with a potential buyer lurking I don’t know.
Hargreaves’s and lots of brokers had the Woodford trust as recommended.
It was a fund and based the recommendations came on his past successes.
Everyone got fleeced. (None of my clients as we avoided it)
This is different, it’s an actual company!
Strukov is broke.
And Lawrence yes you are right about H&L but i thinking of the other major institutions
One stop solution is ; Sturkov offered to increase stake in POG to 50% ,and for war to end, which has no end in sight
Isn't Hargreaves and Lansdown an aggregate of all the PI's who have bought POG shares through them? I wouldn't hold my breath waith for H&L to do anything; I mean look how they just sat there when their recommended pick Woodford patient trust imploded. And as for the rest most are Russian
No doubt Strukov with his connections could cut a side-deal and ensure some kind of payment for his acquiescence of PoG taken out cheap, but what of all these other Western institutions with no links to the Kremlin?
If they get shafted, Russia will lose its carefully cultivated reputation for stable capital markets.
Lohen
Higher up it says
The company's market capitalization on the LSE is 59 million, the largest shareholder (about 29%) is Konstantin Strukov's Yuzhuralzoloto.
Look at the POG institutional o0wnership, as of 5 May 2022, (https://markets.ft.com/data/equities/tearsheet/profile?s=POG:LSE), i reckon most these bought in when share price was well in double digits - except Curro, who i don;t recall ever seeing before on the register.
So none of these institutions have dumped, but are willing to stomach a total wipeout or a sub 10p takeout? Norges could probably eat the hit but what of the other institutions? Are they really silent behind the scenes?
If you had hundreds at millions at stake would you not be engaged with the management? Or just sit back and hope things will turn out ok in the end?

Buyout will not be 1.5p.
Keeping it low so that the buy out is considered low for the realistic market cap of POG.
Too many bigger players in this game that won’t allow a 1.5p sale through. They need to minimise losses in the event of a buyout. They’ll want as close to their averages as possible (whatever they may be).
Realistic buy out price is 5p+
Fantastic buy out price is 10p+
Keep it real. Longer POG holders will lose out as they’ll never see the 20p+ range ever again but people that are in this at sub 3p will be more than happy……..
Might even get Tomski another 3 week holiday to Thailand
You mean this “ According to analysts, the amount for which Petropavlovsk can be acquired is likely to be close to the company's current market capitalization.”
Not sure how that leads to a conclusion of 1.5p. Also these Russian analysts will have been looking at the MOEX price
Lohen
There were 2 links it’s in one of them
See the posts earlier they are both quite close
Justdriftin - what’s your source for the 1.5p buyout price? Didn’t see any mention of that in the article
Is it coincidence pog actually defaulted on the loan 16th may
And pog SP has hovered around 1.5p since that date - previous week was slightly higher.
And now we appear to have a buyout price also @ 1.5p
We have buyout news (widely available) and SP stays at 1.5p
Is this a done deal ????
Got a stink to it - still think it’s seizure by the back door on the cheap
Accept or lose the lot - Russians eh, who’d trust em
