Looks to me the market over panicked on fear of another full lockdown, Now that's looking unlikely just a few further preventative measures
18.5 would be nice.
Shame that we dropped similar to TLW yesterday but today TLW is curently up 14% vs our 5%
18.5 by close......
DBNO, its not jus the oil price, its a correction from overselling yesterday, EU markets not doing too bad today, US futures looking to recover some ground plus the Hurricane adding some weight :)
Ever the optimist DBNO . . . . . guess you are out
this bounce in oil price unlikely to last. be careful. don't get suckered in on a spike.
I do not know how high platforms are but 100m above sea level almost whole bay will have winds 50km/h. On sea that might still be not too nice. And other question is, what will happen in weeks time? Another hurricane?

Hi Patrm
Yes, true, there are other sectors to invest as well. I tracked a lot of shares which bounced back to pre virus levels and never invested in them. Another lesson.

And yet this 'too weak' Bata storm forces Gulf of Mexico Oil Drillers to evacuate

Ha ha ha 40p a share. Good luck with that lol!
Chrysaor just give us 40p and take the lot please.
Derisking going on across markets. On the plus side the lower this goes the less chance TD has of getting his Open Offer, Rights Issue, Placing away in fact I think he has already missed his chance.. and thats a good thing for equity longs INMHO If the creditors extend covenants ( kick the can down the road ) Bonds stay around 70pc. and equity should double even at $40 Brent.
oil bounce. hitting resistance at $39.68 WTI me thinks.
Sure, but next one might be strong, climat change...
Kenni
Its to weak, only 30km winds, also, to close inland to develop into something substantial, they break up easier over land, they need to be able to whip, the far out ocean is the perfect ground for the monsters to reach their optimum
I think there will be more at US coast

Oil had a substantial bounce last week, of the back of the hurricane that hit the Mexican gulf, it needed correcting after such a dramatic bull run and weak data
the rally in the oil price i refer to last week.
