Re the lower global production/higher price scenario...... mentioned earlier.
Both parts are on one side of a wider outcome.
Will growing unemployment, fewer cars making fewer trips, fewer planes flying.
Fewer companies making fewer things.
Greater unemployment means fewer pounds buying fewer goods leads to increased layoffs and the circle of strife continues. For a year or two.
PMO was, during the early pandemic days, a beautiful thing....5% or more up....and the same down.
Now, 3%.... Not viable for trading with the spread and and margin.
So frustrating.
I spent years holding PMO through the violent swings, through manipulation, through Solan, vwaps and every other lash-up.
Now, I don't care about the company.
I'll trade it if possible. It's a tool for making money. That's all really.
Not as bad as Tullow though!
New Tolmount platform leaving Italy and under transport to north sea, looking like being a great TU!!
Its not the oil companies going bust we need to be focusing on but declining production rates of the ones that are not going bust.
Just heard that solan well being connected to existing pipes as we speak. Catcher well also finishing up so should have lots of new oil to talk about in TU.

Good points, agree, oil demand is increasing as activities level increase ...there will be rebound of oil price. I think it will hit in the range of $70-80 at some point as many small and mid size oil co gone or ogoing bust due to lower oil price. This will result in less production hence higher demand

Thanks Krakenoil.
Gold selling off was a sign that money is moving away from a safe haven, possibly back into rock bottom commodities such as energy. Most larger funds will have seen oil demand improvement over the last couple of months and now taking Staggering positions.
And obviously they know far more than what we know and they have more patience than most of us here.
Hi Cash ferret,
Thanks for posting your thoughts yesterday and today.
As a person with little knowledge of the vast markets, I miss read the news of gold going down.
I assumed that may mean money diverting back to shares.
I hadn't read any alarm bells.
Thanks again.
Dont like the way the markets are looking today Kraken - got a bad feeling about this. Gold selling off was not a good sign.
Wonder what delights we face today ! Probably down badly for some reason.
