In 2019 there was no profit warning given even though the accounts indicated one. Last year was different since they had to adjust more (profit warning + revision). I remember in 2019 I questioned Jamie about it and from what I remember there was some excuse given like “we don’t have to give one” although don’t quote me on it. I’m sure this year is probably the same as 2019. Just a guess.
Dougie go back far enough and you will find your answer. It’s all about how much rpg paid for Fortacin (Ple) which has to be written down as each year passes or something like that. For some reason (you will need to read the announcements) last year they had to write down even more hence the revision. Also why there are profit warnings mid year too. From what I remember it’s about 28mill usd/ year = 14mill/six monthly
Yes if anyone can clarify what exactly has to happen to issue a profit warning that would be great
21st feb last year bignose.i am hoping we won't get one now, although not sure it makes much difference.i suppose we've just tempted fate.what would be interesting is if anyone can provide the criteria for having to issue one.probably best to see if we get one early next month before worrying too much about it.
Oh well, maybe no Profit Warning this year? After all there is a limit to how much they can write down Plethora Solutions? lol
Heimdal,
You are indeed correct. March for Macau and April for Taiwan.
Obviously wishful thinking on my part with dementia creeping in........ :-O
Afternoon Heimdal.
I tht it was Feb with Taiwan in March, but I’ll check.
I thought Macao launch was scheduled for March? I suspect we will get the PW tonight after close but it should not have much sp impact. VXR holding up well, +3% today with ASX down 3%. Heimdal
As the title states, the HK launch, although not money making, is significant in that it was the first launch outside of the EU (ROW), lest we forget. ;-)
That said, what’s happened to the Macau launch scheduled for Feb ??? I suspect there will be some announcement tonight, however. If not, then it will surely go into the drawer of yet more fake news by the company.
