sorry im going to give up.im trying to abbreviate my posts to cope with the computer glitch, but its just making them imprecise and unclear. best i just leave things to play out.will post as and when i can. gla
next bit.the name change is suggestive of a change of focus which would support a possible disposal, but unless it was on very favourable terms where would it leave regent(and jamie)hard to imagine managing the DGL interest is a full time job.i believe insilco medicine have been informally sounding out a possible ipo,so what role Zhavoronkov would continue to play at DLI might come into question
sorry can only type a few lines at one go.carrying on.even OTC sales would have provided something tangible.the marketing survey, whilst encouraging,is not real world data, which is what i assume a suitor would want,so any offer would almost certainly be speculative and its value would reflect that.
bignose i don't have a great deal to add to your last thoughts.i doubt we will get any news of a deal at this stage.the poor sales militate against it and the problem has been compounded by lack(apparently)of any meaningful eu sales whether caused by manufavtruring problems or otherwise,
apologies for the seemingly random reference to my grandchildren.it was originally part of a longer post saying i wanted to think about heimdals post but might haver to leave it for a while as grandchildren coming.just seen your post bignose .agree with all that.might add a thought or two tonight
Although Heimdal is correct in that majors buy minnows after completing the phase II, this has been discussed on this very board since the days of "We are at heads of terms with a US licensee "back in March 2014.
My feeling is and it goes against what I have been fantasizing about is that. Given how it was meant to be a blockbuster product, why was the EU deal carp, why was the Chinese deal even worse and why has a US pharma not stepped up to the plate sooner ??? Any licensee could have easily purchased a large % of shares over the years to offset any offer. I cannot help but feel that the current management have no clue regarding making pharma deals and will more than likely allow themselves to be shafted, unless of course a US licensee sees no blockbuster value in the product.
The SP will go up, I am sure, once a US deal is announced, but the value of that deal will undoubtedly be much less than we possibly are expecting.
Also, the EU and Asian licenses could cause a problem for an outright sale given something detrimental must be written within the current deals to account for such a possibility as they surely wouldn't want themselves to be exposed. The company would have been better seeking the FDA approval from the very beginning - we would have gotten it by now and any offer now surely wont be dragged down by the "disappointing sales".
I am ever hopeful that they do offload the license for the whole of the Americas including Canada, but it remains to be seen if anything is forthcoming and would the offer be of value? I remember Dr M stated in the media long ago that they would not accept anything less than 1 billion USD. Could this be the reason prospective licensees may have walked all those years ago thinking we were being too unrealistic and greedy ?
Hopefully my speculating is proved totally wrong.
As always Fingers, legs n anything else available crossed.
Positive to see DVP powering ahead with our reduced holding now valued @ $17,257,268 (after paying the outstanding ATO bill in full). If we are awarded the Bellevue Gold Ltd (ASX:BGL) u/g mining contract this month we could see a major move north (in the DVP sp). Interesting to see how long ERP's BoD will maintain this key position. Significant upside here with the development of the SS Cu mine, resource upgrade, Cu prices poised to hit $15k/t and the new u/g mining division.
I heard a Swedish pharma Director a few days ago mentioning that many minor pharma companies simply offload their product / company after successfully completing FDA phase 2 to one of the major players. I wonder if this could happen here and possibly explain the prolonged radio silence?
so keith,it was you.now i understand.sorry for the mistaken attribution.obviously if we get another name change there is no chance i will remember it! gla
Bignose you are forgiven. :) The merry few on this board are always happy to read both your comments and those of The Italian. As usual perceptive, realistic and, above all, generally accurate. The long wait continues. Probably due a new name change/rebranding in the new year!
morning bignose.well now i am totally confusticated! oh well at least DGL is slightly up.still no news from erp though.the wait goes on.
The.Italian.
I’m afraid there is a big difference in content between ? and some of the big words Keith has used in the past, so nothing to be sorry about. Mind you, I’m even having a problem getting my e’s n i’s in the correct order (sorry Keith). Dyslexia rules KO……lol
apparently not bothwell then.sorry.
?
yes add it to the list.it was indeed bothwell as i recall.
Or even….
discombobulate RP. (Another of Bothwells or were they Kieths ?. I’m a little discombobulated about it….lol)
"procrastination rp" i.s my current favourite. "confustication rp" is my second choice (curtesy of bothwell i think)
no need to hurry over the closing date. it will doubtless be extended...and extended...and extended. tbh if dvp becomes worth billions i wouldn't object.i could probably retire. of forgot...i already have
New names anyone ?

Competition results will be made available through the usual announcement channels.
Closing date 25th Dec 2021.
Soooo. Now here is a conundrum. What if DVP becomes worth billions or is bought out for billions. Will there be another change in direction back to mining with another name change !!!. At least they DO have experience in that direction……… Money talks louder than words n est pa ?
worth having a look at the link to develop from heimdals post.i thought that "develop"was a bit of an odd choice(develop what? having looked at the website and logo it strikes me now as very compelling and very well conceived.not saying a logo can make or break a company but getting that right is a step in the right direction
morning heimdal.sorry obviously didn't make it clear as to the context of not significant.i meant in terms of currently and historically not moving the s/p in any discernible way.from a fundamental aspect i agree it's veryignificant.at 25% of m/c it can hardly be otherwise and if(always an if) beament can "do the business" and it say doubled in value that must surely have an impact regardless of the progress in other areas.not going to happen overnight of course but good to hear of potential developments.thanks for the detail.
morning bignose.agree with that. if im honest i don't get the feeling that"big pharma"is falling over itself to snap us up,but hopefully even a modest deal would improve things.fingers crossed.
I agree that our DVP holding is not significant in the overall scheme of things, however while we await the long overdue FDA/ /China/EU/operations update it is positive that the value of our holding is growing, and should grow further over the next few weeks and thus significantly underpin our sp.
Upcoming catalysts:
Major SS project status update due on DEC 14 with the assay results from ~25% of the resource and exploration holes drilled during the now completed $10m campaign .
News on the tender for the mining contract at Bellevue Gold’s (ASX: BGL) Bellevue project in Western Australia.
The latest preso from DEC 1 shows Sandvik u/g mining equipment with a DVP sticker so I guess Bill Beament must be fairly confident the first contract will be soon be awarded: https://wcsecure.weblink.com.au/pdf/DVP/02460537.pdf
On the longer track Bill Beament might well be successful in transforming DVP into a multi-billion $ coy, as previously stated, with the new u/g mining division and further progress at SS and beyond.
Morning The.Italian.
Maybe they will, although they have only so far used it towards the AT bill. Hopefully they can squeeze a decent US license deal up front payment to at least take us through to US first sales. (I’m not so optimistic now about it being a really good deal based on their previous examples).
afternoon bignose.yes its true that the DVP prices seems to have no reflection in erp'ss price, but i suspect this is because there is no normal market for erp volume wise .as you have said it's just a small trader sshsre in the absence of large s/p moving news.it's still positive in the it could serve to give us a bit more cash if/when we need it.all those director salaries and the people at dlii for example,so at least postpone the need for another placing or similar for a while.just my thoughts, but not really significant in the overall scheme of things
