well dougie obviously none of us know and indeed never will know, whether the rise was related to the news or not. could just be a coincidence, but I'm not sure i would agree that it was not news . not exciting .certainly, but news yes imo.for an app which is all about medical data it is extremely important to be able to demonstrate to consumers that the data is secure. personally i couldn't care less about the security of my medical data,(perhaps because i don't really have any) but we live in a world now where most people, particularly the young , are obsessed with their data and its security, almost as though the "data 'is really their embodiment and if someone gains access to it then they are at serious risk (financial data is, i accept, in a different category and i share the same concerns in that regard as the general population) .therefore to be able to demonstrate a significant step in data security will, imo,be seen as very positive step for an app of this type. .also,as bigmbose suggests, the news implies the deal is till ongoing and regardless of ones personal views it my well be perceived by the investment community as a positive development. could be completely wrong of course and its just day traders but personally i think it is linked. whilst the closing price was 10% plus , at one point it was i think 22% so not really a small movement. will be interesting to see if the deal does go through whether it leads to any significant S/P movement. .my own prediction (or rather hope) is that on the deal going through we will reach 0.20hkd, which i see as the base for next upwards movement .the next upward movement , if it is indeed that, will be determined by news on both the longevity and fortacin fronts.there is news due on fortacin in next few months (china ,OTC sales start at beginning of 2021 and FDA), so we could be entering a period of positive developments. as always not holding my breath but am finding the situation more interesting now than for some time.just my musings of course.
tbh i dont see how that news could be relevant to our small rise yesterday, not really new or exciting information. as has been seen before we can rise and fall with no news in either direction. have to say it would be good to get some sort of update on how the trials are going re usa . thoughts on if we will see some big price moving news here before 2021? the waiting is draining
morning bignose.thats very interesting thanks (and thanks pom ). you can see why a tie in of this sort would be seen as pretty much essential and a positive step.i agree it would suggest the deal is still on (indeed according to the journo it has already taken place! lol). i realise we have differing views about the desirability/merits of the proposed deal, but for completeness sake i would mention that i had an email on Thursday from the Young.AI team advising me that they have added some features to the app and fixed some bugs. in particular they have upgraded their blood test analysis feature, so that it will accept test reports from any lab, not just their partner labs, provided it is in english. i only mention this as it does at least suggest some positive proactive approach. who knows though!
Apols
That web link was courtesy of POM, who seems to have his finger on the button regarding finding information...I guess its a case of not just looking, but knowing where to look. :-)
Well, as disappointing to me as it is, it would appear the rise yesterday may have been because of this (although it did take till lunchtime for the buyers to react), but it also could indicate the DLI deal is not dead in the water..' (maybe the delay is because of it?). ====>
