An interesting move. Should increase transparency and enhance atteactiveness to the market.
But do you get a predictable income from Premium Bonds. ? ZERO
growth, no loss admittedly.
Unfortunately PHP has dropped off dividend seekers radar at under 4% yield. Partly because the share price has risen, but the yield hasn't kept up. GP surgeries are in complete disarray. The one thing that people need during the covid crisis and they immediately locked the gates, aren't replying to e.mails, won't answer the phone. What are they doing ? I Came to a vital point this week because my vital medication repeat prescription has run out. The GP's won't see me, won't ring me, so it came to a point where I said "ok... I'll have to do without". Suddenly my prescription renewed, although then I had the problem of what had they done with it ?
One problem coming is that many GP's run two or more surgeries, and they got paid equally for each. But now they only get paid once, so they are desperate to close down duplicates, but with public transport impossible in communities, they face a lot of opposition. The whole system needs a massive overhaul.
You're losing a steady income and capital growth....

Heard discussion overnight on the use of surgeries versus current trend and need cash for purchasing property for family member. Do I take all from premium bonds or ditch these? I decided there is risk in PHP Their progress depends on the need for more large surgeries being required and post pandemic this is now questionable. So sadly they go. Best of luck to those who hold.
Yes, it's a gem of a share. Oddly, HSBC told me some time ago that I could sell my holding, previously bought through them, but no longer buy any. So, I went off to Halifax Share Dealing to buy more. Can't go wrong if you want a decent yield.
Nice steady divi payer -can't say that about many nowadays. Mine are under my pillow and help me to sleep tight!
I take it we don't get a bite of this cherry being the latest fund raising, thereby suffering dilution to our holdings.
Although I'm still kicking myself for not dipping in at the March lows. Hey ho.
another fundraising mentioned in the results happens today apparently. The only concern I have for this share is if GPs decide to work from home after Covid as many are at the moment.
.....with a progressive dividend - great place to be invested during these uncertain times!
disappointed to see the sellers
after so good a start to today
looking stronger now after this mornings rns
Nah, its fine
I am becoming concerned regarding the impact of rising inflation on revenue received and loan repayments for this company
This company has a strong management with a CEO who knows the business inside out. Furthermore having the British and Irish governments as your clients can't be bad in these uncertain times. If your looking for defensive investments PHP must be a very attractive contender.
holding now. Will be reflected in substantial upward revaluations in future. My opinion only. DYOR!
May be in anticipation of tomorrow's trading statement
Sharp junp today. Perhaps more people are realising the strengths of this company.
Ex-div 9th Jan. Final results app Jan 31st. Divi likely to increase a bit this year but rock solid.
...except the yield for anyone buying at this price.
but these are long term hold. No fears of Labour interference now so everything here is luvverly.
Good business, but see the several post below yours - 1 issue as pointed out in Investors Chronicle this week - this is 1 of the increasing number of companies who issue shares at a discount, but not to ordinary shareholders - and in this case even less excuse as the Directors all helped themselves to whatever they wanted individually in the discounted placing.
Being a REIT they have to hand out most of the profits - so often the only way to grow is issue more shares - which be cause they keep doing at a discount keeps the share price down and dilutes earnings.
I acknowledge that the Medicx merger was a different 1 off opportunity to create value.
