Have invested in php for years just bought more, keep getting the divi great reliable company, soon be back up.
Truss opened her mouth and some words came out
Is this just being dragged down by the mess in open ended property funds?
Or is there something I don't know.
No I didn't, care to share?
Wot no ones read the Telegraph ?
presumably you don't have the shares in an ISA then ? I won't get my dividend until next week, but am pretty confident there won't be any tax taken off.
Okay, I can answer my own question. One of the payments was a dividend, the other was a PD (Property Income Distribution). The PID is not classed as a dividend, but akin to earned income, so is taxed at 20% for basic tax-rate payers.
My total PHP dividend payment today was less than I was expecting because one of the payments had tax deducted. Has this happened to anyone else?
Normally my dividends have no tax taken off and I pay through Self-Assessment at the end of the year.
Looking forward to dividend, this is a nice quarterly income stream. Happy to top up on monthly basis at this level.
... of course there won't be such "revaluation gains" each period, nah, not worth it, binned.
Nice to see some net profit boost in interims, but valuation leaves very little space for margin of safety to justify any buy.
Worth keeping an eye on it though.
PHP has been a tremendous long-term success for investors, growing to its current market cap. of £1.914 billion (at 143.5p/share), since being founded in 1995 and floating the next year.

tipped in yesterdays Mail on Sunday
Maybe it was trading at too much of a premium to current NAV and presumably some possible profit taking. Still a very solid investment with rising Divi.
Thanks troajan, i am very relieved Hyman says it has been a good year but it doesnt explain the stady drop inSP for months now.
Regards
based on today's SP and divi announcement, 2022 yield is now 4.35%. Should be a safe haven in the market in the turmoil.
Might have been a good interview but not exactly having a positive outlook on the share price.
Good interview with Harry Hyman on Ian King Live today. Very positive message
wonder why
Thanks
