Hi all, I've written a blog on Peel Hotels, which I am a shareholder in, that some of you may find interesting. The blog can be found here: https://tbifund.wordpress.com/2021/12/08/peel-hotels-pho-ln-check-in-before-they-check-out/
Good morning,
I appreciate there hasn't been any activity for a while, namely owing to the AIM delisting in September 2019. However Peel Hotels recently put a facility in place which allow shareholders to trade in the shares if they so wish via the Asset Match platform. Correspondence was sent out directly from the company recently also alluding to this.
If you would like to be kept updated with auction timing's, pricing and company newsflow simply email dealing@assetmatch.com and we'd be delighted to add you to that list. Similarly if you have any questions surrounding how to deal etc then please feel free to get in touch.
Many thanks,
Ben Weaver

Very dissapointing re the de-listing from AIM. I understand it though, but it does hurts a lot of shareholders that have to sell. Should be better ways to sort it out.
Despite better results the sp falters and the move to AIM will have caused many to sell. The adoption of the Best Western system should help. I regularly use a BW hotel when looking for somewhere to stay. My experience of staying with Peel has been positive, but big hotels can cause big problems
The share price trickles down, yet our own stay at the Midland showed what a great hotel it is. If the others are as good, then the share price ought to be more resilient.
That is reassuring. We have booked a night at the Midland Hotel, Bradford. We are interested to see what that is like
For 2018 I think trading will be better , eg their Bournemouthhotel Royal Norfolk is fully booked this summer . So hopefully they will make a profit for the year ( always good for a share price )
Yet, the company has fine city centre hotels. Airbnb, Premier Inn must take a toll on the overnight bookings, so the strong point is the ability to handle functions, conferences etc well. Perhaps it is market sentiment and a lower dividend than some competitors that influences the market. The chairman is getting on in years, and if he goes then it may well be up for grabs, until then I cannot see the BoD wilingly selling out.
This is a company that now longer suits AIM , little news , big spread , little trading and the share price can move 5% in a day on £10k of share sells . As I said several months ago I do hope the management sells the company soon and we can all move on .
Six months on and the price still slowly slipping down. I guess any buyers are biding their time
I bought this share in 2005 and more or less at the current price. I do hope somebody takes this company out soon.
Today's buying bodes well. Confidence seems to be returning
May be but still more sales and price back down which does not imo properly reflect the potential of this stock
Good announcement this morning , saving £160,000 a year . Well done .
Peel hotels cater for the business community by providing conference facilities, and those facilities cater also for social functions such as weddings. In addition they are well suited for the tourist industry. On that basis surely the long term prospects are good so long as there is effective management
Looking into this one. A bit concerned that they won't be able to keep up with shifting trends.. get the feeling Peel hotels are geared towards older folks. Pound staying low is good for tourism but can they take advantage if they are a 'local' hotel?
Despite 20,000 shares being sold and just 10,000 bought, the price is holding. It still remains a sound company and I am staying put
Last weeks selling was in my opinion over done . So it was nice to see some buying this morning .
Indeed a sad day. What an almighty drop. Yet there are still buyers and the share price is now tempting for what is still a sound company.
Not a good announcement this morning with profits down . However it always surprises me that £30k of sales result in a £4m drop in Market cap ( 19% ) . Guess we will have to wait another year .
I have always liked this company and have therefore had the roller coaster of a ride over the last 10 years . The management make very few announcements so shareholders have to wait for months for news . I think the next one will be good agsin and then the share price should continue it's rise
Somebody has decided to cut and run
The share price creeps up. With a weak pound that should help occupancy levels . Stay with this share folks .
I have held this share for 10 years . The CEO is a good chap and I think in time this will get to £2 a share and ultimately I think it will be bought by another hotel group when he wants to retire .
I saw this share tipped a while ago when the price languished around a pound. Since the price has improved. With the increasing demand for holiday breaks in the uk as well as business usage Peel is well placed to take advantage of that trend. Robert Peel has a wealth of experience in managing hotels. I think they still have much growth potential.
