I think Trump would be walking along the Russian tank line right now....looking for Putin and trying to get everyone to calm down..... he would be slating off NATO in Europe..that is for sure
"China gets the flu "
Then it will be a case of " Bring back Trump"
just keep calm and carry on trading.
" America sneezes and the ROW catches a cold."
haha ...yeah.....just have to hope that China does not get the flu....
Just seems we are forever hostage to what happens over there, America sneezes and the ROW catches a cold.
"US markets selling off again."
Not totally unexpected ...needs Powell to give the FED path of direction.......and then some statement that talks on Ukraine have made progress
so..today possibly more volatility...but "a chance" of a turnaround in the next couple of days ...
They have to keep the bears from breaking through the key support lines
US markets selling off again.
ohhh. ok. thank you.
" Why is it not announced as an RNS? It is on the PFC web site."
probably because the revenue from each year isnt enough to have any significant affect on the market......so it isn't deemed market price sensitive in that sense ..
It is for financial purposes ...just "news" ...an RNS Reach at best
Why is it not announced as an RNS? It is on the PFC web site.
Really crazy indeed
.....if the US markets had not caught that drop then they knew they were heading into deeper selling and more shorting down into the broken support levels....
Markets deciding that the FED cannot add 4 rate rises into 2022 as the market has worked on.....
Going to be all about Powell and Putin for now.....still think Putin is just game playing .....read yesterday that Russia would need another 2-3 more weeks before they could launch an invasion and would need more troops etc....
Still think he will be in Beijing for the Olympics, meeting the Chinese Premier to boast of his abilities to have everyone jump to his tune

Bought a chunk below 125 yesterday. Mildly surprised that SP didn't sink to 120 and early rally today….
But, ever more reports suggesting Rusky incursion likely - millions of free Rusky passports granted by Putin to Ukraine nationals; local thug preparing the way in various areas of Ukraine…. and despite the arguments for OP and GP uplift if war arrives, my take is that the initial shock on incursion will tank SP again.
So, 115 is my short term target for SP. Funds ready just in case. That said, hope I’m wrong; that Putin pulls back; and PFC contract wins announced pre March statement.
And then there’s Gazprom. Is that just technical assistance or will there be tangible contract benefits in short term for PFC?
(Almost Russian) roulette …..
Yes, I had to do a double take when I saw that!
Major about turn on the DOW this evening! Should be better tomorrow, the FTSE and oil futures are up.
Bear market/bull market? This is the oil market. This sp will correct itself. Today was yet another market bedwetting session. This will be back up in no time. Ukraine war would push the OP upwards & equities down for sure but PFC would be one of the safer stocks to be in. Just look @ the markets today. Look at BOO & THG. Both been on my radar for a while now. Endless tankers.
Eyes are on the FED over next couple of days ...and the FED statement .....and any decisions from the UK Treasury ...everything depends on that ..as to where things head next
..the ECB has already suggested that they are not going to cut back QE or raise interest rates at anything like the FED suggestion
We have a lot of correction/catching up to do. No time for a bear market for us :-)
I have been reading views on the Lloyds Board, people talking about the Nasdaq not far off bear territory etc etc
Does anyone feel that the UK markets are at risk of going into a bear market or are we caught in the crossbars of an overall market correction due to Ukraine, covid, inflation and the fed raising rates, or all of the above ?
From what I've read bear markets are not very pleasant, and can last from weeks to years, however some sectors do fairly well.
Anyone's thoughts would be appreciated.
