Chrisev1, olderwiser has covered this well. It’s worth noting that the two deeper zones (N14 and the new zone) ‘may be of similar magnitude in volumetric range as the originally targeted primary zones’. So if there were 3 zones which made up the initial 135MMBO (Net) resource it may be that the BEST estimate for the two new zones is slightly below this. However it looks like the N14 sands it Harrier may be derisked also.
This may help, https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/52398839/single
The short version is, there were three targets identified pre drill N 18 and 20 are the shallow targets. All targets N20,18 and 14 were hit and all had oil shows.
Only the shallow targets N20 and 18 were sampled, both of these had high water %, so low oil%, which made them non viable

Quick question, why do you think the primary targets appear to be water?
P.S selling and buying back in probably works most of the time. Missing the big one would annoy me more!
99% of people need to think something is a bad idea for it to be a good idea. As I said only need one and no-one can predict that 88, panr or any other company won’t be the one. One thing I have learnt is that you have to be in it to win it and if you don’t buy a ticket you don’t win the raffle. Someone being invested or not does I’m afraid make a difference. You have an investment because you believe in it or you’re stuck in it. Either way you want it to work. If you’re not invested in it you don’t want it to work. All opinions of course. Enjoy your weekend and apologies in advance for not looking at the board for a few days.
GLA with whatever you do x
I am invested in PANR, your comments were relating to 88e as were mine. The ‘nonsense about numbers’ is the reason that Brom despite all his encouragement is sitting on a big profit and others are not. The ‘nonsense about numbers’ would have shown you that at 4p a discovery the size of predrill best estimates was already priced in. I am not having a go rather recommending you gain an understanding of what success looks like relative to estimated resource size.
Also these are chat boards to chat about 88e and PANR, there is no prerequisite to own shares before posting. Those selling out at 4p will make you think that anyone posting an opposing view has an agenda, this is not always the case. It looks like Brom had an opposing view from you at 4p, he just didn’t post it. Be like Brom.
The question remains the same for me bud. Why are you bothering with this when you don’t believe you’ll make any money? Forget the nonsense about numbers. It’s an oily place and I believe at some stage, probably soon, they’ll have their fair share. What’s the problem m8?
Ford707, can you explain why you think 88e will be way over 4p very soon. It looks like Merlin’s two new zones are similar in size to the pre drill primary targets zones which appear to be water. If this is the case then the resource size may be smaller than the pre-drill estimate of net 135MMBO. Therefore without another speculative bubble (which could well indeed happen again), why do you believe it will be well over 4p very soon.
There is a reason Brom and co took profits at 4p and its related to the questions above.
Some of your previous posts state the whole area is loaded. Market cap of a few hundred million wouldn’t suggest that an acreage was loaded. People can always change their minds but when offering advice be sure you’re not going to change your mind when results come out.
P.S find it pretty sad being on these forums when you’re not invested. Each to their own I guess
Not on here often so forgive me if I miss your whitty response.
Not sure if I’ve shouted anyone down, but possible as it will be way over 4p very soon. We’ll see what happens buddy. Don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose so I’m here for aslong as it takes x Pantheon, 88, oilex, echo, tullow don’t mind who, just need one! Have a good weekend all x
Draig, invested here as well? I thought it was a good idea as well. Let’s see how this all pans out, pardon the pun!
Thanks Ddraig. No replies so your filters may have holes lol.
Jim - Not sure if any others have answered this (given my filter list) but The 112,492,355 are the voting right share Farallon have remaining which is 17.87% of the 629,368,196 total voting share in issue currently.
This is above the significant shareholder threshold (5%) under rule 17 and DTR5 (disclosure and transparency rules) I believe.
Therefore my understanding is that if you have a holding greater than 5% the company is required to disclose when that shareholder acquires additional shares or, in this case, disposes of shares. The company will be required to disclose Farallon disposals right the way down until their holding falls below 5%.
I would appreciate any comments on what the significance of this RNS.
Does it indicate 112,492,355 shares are sold or a threshold reached where respective shares have a vote?
Thanks
