Hi rajbury,
I'm a big fan of Eric Berne, myself.
There's a lot of material on the BB's ....'Why does this always happen to me ?' gets a lot of air-time, unfortunately.
And a lot of 'Child response to Adult' aka 'play the man' when people are presented with facts that don't , unfortunately, tie in with their world view...

Wow....didn't expect to see Transactional Analysis happening in LSE BBs..
Moniman and Blah, think we need to get both your ego states back to an adult status

Sorry did your say something interesting Blurhp....oh no I was just imagining it....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Glad to help Moany. BTW you've twice attacked the ethics committee, for no apparent reason, but they provide a useful independent review. The people you should direct your demented unreasonable hostility towards are the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, who will actually approve the study (or not).
Blurblurblah...Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. yet another very interesting yawn thread.......
Challenge trials are already being worked on, but the actual study doesn't commence till January. How can they do it any earlier when the vaccines are not even ready yet and the challenge virus has not been manufactured, and the volunteers have not been screened? Also, how do you sack an ethics committee which hasn't even been convened: who would you send the notices to? What will you do about the media backlash and criticism from the medical community? Wouldn't it perhaps be better to just continue with the agreed timescales and follow the sensible and reasonable regulatory steps?
Looking increasingly gloomy re Covid spread..so almost guaranteed our challenge trials will be going ahead asap, otherwise the ethics committee will be sacked imho?
