.Open Orphan bit starts at ..15 mins and 30 seconds to miss out the other stuff..
The reason the revenue from the contract can't be recognised until 2023-24 is they just can't fit them in any sooner.
Coz they are full up, init. :)
Over time, I guess more expansion will sort that problem out.
Iron-man...OO aren't selling high value retail items or selling expensive holidays that are being postponed by Joe public...OO are at the cutting edge in their field of expertise and providing unrivaled support for large pharmaceutical customers, a world leader in many of its challenge models and in most cases the only place to go..maybe listen to yesterday's blog...if you can put up with the erring and bad maths...

The small biotechs are out of favour at the minute. Investors want out at any price to move their money into more defensive stocks given the present turmoil and uncertainty. A decent contract win but revenue is not due to be recognised until 2023/24 so will not add to the current year's tally. Moany man thinks the share price should be in the 30's. Any rationale behind that statement moany man or are you just saying that because you would like it to be to reduce your huge defecit here.
Unbelievable really but hey ho that's aim for you ... :0/
Pharma is out of favour with investors for now no more no less !
Top revenue and contracts incoming past year. Don’t worry unless you looking for quick money. I’m in for the long term. Bring on the future demergers, sales, dividends. Unfortunately virus and diseases are here to stay and so am I regardless of any MM games or impatient sellers. Go Open Orphan!!
really disappointing SP action today. In terms of the 2021 results CF did say he would try and get them out earlier this year - end of April was mentioned - however, he did mention it was complicated by having overseas operations in addition to the UK base. Hopefully, they will be published in the next week or so.
I really think this will help the SP, as long as the figures are as previously indicated.
As an example, today the Brown Group (BWNG) announced their results and they are up c30% , albeit from a very low base. These results were previously guided in late January so there is nothing really new in today's announcement other than formalising the previous announcement.
I'm hoping the same will happen for ORPH.
Must be selling at a loss surely, unless they bought before September 2000.
Anyone still holding significant amount of shares from before Sept. 2000 ?
Maybe it's the former Venn or Hvivo Directors offloading their last remaining shares, I belive they had quite a few between them? Or maybe someone else?
Someone has been dumping 100000+ tranches for weeks now, must be a large holder reducing regardless of Pos/neg news. Sells outweighing buys by a considerable margin almost on a daily basis. Share should be far higher given recent news but constantly being hammered down.
A massive disappointment after what appeared to be a positive RNS. Someone is obviously eager to divest of their holding at any price with some pretty hefty conviction sells. Looking to uncross in the low 13's.
Results 17th June last year I believe
The slowness of getting the historic results out (usually Dec year end out by March) is holding back the price, as is the lack of sell-off news. Both would be confirmation of value.
Once the results are out, hopefully we will be steered towards better broker forecasts for YE2022 and more about the contracts and prospects for 2023.
Well its been over a year since we last had a TR-1 notification of holdings... so that "someone" is probably just lots of different sellers (and traders) but the effect on the SP is the same. I cant see how sentiment is going to change here at the moment. The end of year numbers are going to have to be pretty spectacular to do anything positive to the SP thats for sure.
someone has been dumping large tranches on a weekly basis, its been going on a few months now. Very puzzling as they are offloading into good news and the share price is being supressed. Don't make sense.
oh by the way, I can spell but no so good a typing on my phone....lol
if anyone can be bothered to listen to this discussion 15 mins onwards, 'very undervalued and potentially a big re-rate coming on results and forward looking statements' so it may appear?....pity the erring and inabiltity to work out the differnce between £100 million and amount in $'s by the speaker though, thinks he needs to go back to school or buy a calulator.......worth a listen but ADYOR!!!

So based on that simple principle, the share price should never rise above its current price? Surely you could the same for any company large or small complany, so long as there is a market for the shares. Hence all share prices across the board would be permenantly stuck in a limited trading range and would never rise? So what's the point of companies listing their shares on the market if they are never going to rise?
Rich,
It’s the easiest stock to trade…. Every piece of good news is sold into to.
I agree, every RNS in the past two years has been positive and in most cases regarding large contract wins, someone seems to have an agenda to keep a lid on the SP at the moment unless there is a better theory out there, can't believe we're not into the 20s or 30s by now at least..
I agree, also is clear some interested party doesn’t want this SP to rise, there hasn’t been a negative RNS for some time, but every one gets sold into early on to dampen any rerate - can’t be profit takers for obv reasons - CFs lock-in period is ending soon, I would guess all options are on the table for him to get a proper return for his risked capital and long days through the pandemic, summer could be interesting imho
The stock market might not recognise the value of orph (at least for now) but if it doesn't do so soon, someone else will - a larger CRO for example. CF has a great track record as a dealmaker. After all he picked up this business for peanuts and has transformed it. The core business is flying. CF is the biggest shareholder and will do whatever it takes to generate maximum value for all shareholders (including himself). I would be surprised if Orph hasn't merged with/been acquired by a larger CRO before the end of the year. CF has hinted at this. The only reasons I can see to delay are (i) the grow the core business further so as to get a better deal (ii) to give time to complete the divestment of non-core assets.
agree - the core company is in rude health and has been for some time. The SP and general sentiment are depressed but this provides an opportunity too. 2021 numbers should be finalised soon and if MO keeps adding contracts and CF sorts some/all of the proposed spin offs i'm hoping to see 30p again this calendar year.
Aim is full of silly traders that treat it as a betshop
