Reverse trend ... Ha you know nothing about trends or fundamentals LOL LOL happy thanks thou :)
i'd be more concerned about the reverse trend at Eve Sleep deepjoy, there's a stock which is hyped and overbought, only going one way
Deepjoy - short term fluctuation in the share price are not an indication of the value in 6 or 12 months time. Ryan is just quoting future Broker calculations. At the moment sentiment is not great for Orph as Sales will be slightly below the over optimistic excitement of CF and profitability, therefore, not quite as good. Despite this, the turnaround in Sales and profitability is still remarkable in such a short period of time. There is more growth to come and the spin outs and other possibilities such as the Nasdaq listing are a nice extra for future share price growth(3p per spin off looks like a lazy finger in the air estimation) - I am confident of a much healthier total Orph return over the coming months
The irony Ryanwood is that the market, me, and whole host of others aren't buying you calculations LOL
.."On Camino Frances next year I will attempt NOT to check my portfolio every day!!!.."
Good stuff !
Nothing wrong in doing the same camino several times :
- a bit like the 'Sliding doors' Movie, a few hours' gap can be life-changing : I started at SJPdP and met my now partner on the first day....would likely never have met her 24 hours later. We've been together over 15 years, now...
- different seasons will make for a different landscape, different weather, different nationality profile, etc etc.
But a one share portfolio isn't usually recommended (;->) and I'd encourage you - time and circumstances permitting : to consider others....
- the Portugues, from Lisbon, time permitting, Porto if not, is well established and somewhat less crowded;
- the Plata , from Seville goes through some great cities , but longer distances between stops;
- the Ruta de la Lana goes from Alicante up to Burgos, through 'Espana desierta' - no issues with mobile phone use (Y/N?) there when I did it, in places there's no coverage...
Just ideas, as they say on these boards : IMO, NAI, DYOR, etc etc
;->
Great post ET.
On Camino Frances next year I will attempt NOT to check my portfolio every day!!!
Maybe more than we think : CF used the phrase 'onwards and upwards' in one of his presentations - which got me wondering....
Not that his maybe having been a pilgrim would make a difference - other than reminding us not to obsess with a time-table !
Thank you for the post extrader. Amazing to have another peregrino on this board!
A bit late to this thread, but I agree that the Camino is life-changing.
I did my first 20 years ago...and have done several different ones since.
'All roads lead to Rome', etc. And life is about the journey, not the arrival.
Totally agree it's much better to walk alone - the walk is about 'unplugging' from your day-to-day.
That's not achieved if you walk in a bubble with friends or family or even fellow Brits : you end up talking about 'domestic and home-country' issues , mostly 'trivia'....
The other thing is that, if you walk with strangers , it's a bit like hitch-hiking - ships passing in the night - you can have a 'consequence-free' conversation about whatever you want. Which tends to make for more 'real' conversations.
Someone 'in the business' on my first said walking the camino was like getting free counselling : a lot of people were walking to 'process' one of the 'D's' : a death; a divorce; a dismissal (or resignation; or retirement); depression; drink/drugs/dependency; distraction (a sporting challenge).
If that sounds grim, it absolutely wasn't ! 'Stuff' happens to most people, at some point (which is one great leveller). Another is that, regardless of station in life, we all walk at 2-3 miles an hour, a steady rhythm that is 'natural' : getting into a car for the first time after a few weeks and seeing how FAST everything is moving can be quite disorienting....
Three tips :
(1) If you MUST take a mobile phone, take the battery out and put it in a safe place at the bottom of your pack. Forget about it if you can...and live in the moment. If you need a phone for any real reason, ask to borrow someone's. That's a good experience in itself.
(2) Be flexible and 'go with the flow' : where you end up that night doesn't matter. Don't be tied to a schedule/target and allow for the unexpected : a village fiesta you decide to stay for; a blister or other injury.
" We all start at the same place, we all end at the same place , we may take more or less time, it's what you do along the way that matters "
(3) Keep your pack down to 10% of body weight ! It's striking how little you actually need to be happy....and on the Camino , as in life, the less 'baggage' you carry, the easier your journey tends to be.
Ultreia et suseia ! Onwards and upwards.
Apols for O/T
Strictly .. Earache is a saint compared to the arrogance and toxicity of Ryan and a few others on here whose framing bias is laughable ....
Good God Earache what the hell is wrong with you man??
Has it ever occurred to you that investing is based on a number of uncertain factors and events that may or may not come to fruition. Investors get things wrong and right. According to you ORPH is certain to fail so you must accept that even you blundered badly in your initial assessment.
You are an arrogant verbose angry individual.
Get out in the fresh air, meditate or go on retreat. Life is too short to be so vindictive!
another great post earache.. exactly how to read the fundmentals and assumptions the brokers make. wasted of course but hey I enjoyed reading it :)
good posts Earache.. thou wasted on the blind
Just filter him, job done
No probs. I wasn't sure cos i can't see his posts lol.
DS - just do it. Don’t put things off. Best walked alone. You meet more interesting people and have more fun going solo.
Look on the bright side, someone bought 800K for 22p, so there is at leaast one buyer out there, maybe it's Bronx...lol
SZ - Three times! Amazing! I've wanted to do it for a long time. Plan to do it when I retire - maybe even in 2022 as well.
No hehe - was addressing old Earache
U talking to me strictly? I'm still fully loaded if you are. LTH as I've always stated.
You apparently loaded up your ISA in April and were a complete convert. How much did you lose? Sold everything I assume? Who would chuck the kitchen sink at one stock you fool!!
What can I say? the incredible people, the vinto tinto, the camaraderie, scenery, food, everything
Its life changing and I am a total addict!!
Ive done it three times - best thing ive ever done. Started from St Jean in 2014 2017 and 2019. Its so addictive and absolutely bloody brilliant
Amazing SZ. I want to do that one day. Where do you plan to start from?
Whilst I am of course wedded to the fortunes of ORPH, life is so much more than LSE or posting or reading the inconsequential comments on here.
What I have really learnt is that succeed or fail who really cares?
I’m planning my 2022 Camino de Santiago trek and its so much more than anything that investing success gives me. If you are getting stressed over this shares boll**ks I recommend you get outdoors and live the best of lives.
Food luck everyone - stay safe and happy!
