precedent not president !
Worth adding that the president was set for a company dumping their shares for less than the company was worth when the share price here languished around 5p and promptly doubled to their true worth once the large seller was through.
Moniman, I was trying to answer your specific question re MMs and in this case explain the hasty sell of OO shares linked to an imposed timeline. I am not ramping this share, but at the end of the day if you do not believe in the Board then you best sell and move on, personally, I see an enthusiastic leader in Cathal, fully invested and delivering on his promises.
Moniman, the “true” value you mention is subjective in that all investors on this board believe ORPH will increase its share price, but others, including those who sell these shares every day, do not believe the share price will increase. Alternatively some sellers will be compelled to sell, for various reasons, even if they believe the share price will increase.
Oh that's all good to hear. Next time I hear of a company desperately trying to dump millions of shares for less than their true value I will be the first buyer in the queue...it must be true I read it on LSE...lol
Moniman. MMs earn most of their money through the difference in the spread irrespective of the share price itself along with a commission from their clients. In this case, Acacia are working to a time based deadline to sell the stock s by 30th Nov so that finds can be returned to Woodford find investors. The documents seen by Citywire show investors in the Woodford fund face further delays in receiving money. Both buyer and seller are reportedly working towards a deadline of 30 November but they can agree to a one-month extension. It means investors frozen in the fund could be waiting until Christmas before receiving the proceeds.://www.cityam.com/acacia-research-offloads-bargain-woodford-stocks/
One assumes the MMs will be raising the ask first thing tomorrow as tonight's prophecy causes a stampede for OO shares....lol
Better to ask the obvious and be ridiculed, than be one of the flock of sheep being lead to slaughter. Of course you could just believe everything the CEO says and this time next year we'll all be a millionaires Rodney...let's hope that the luck of the Irish is smiling on us all and there is gold at the end of this rainbow...lol
I really wish you'd leave this chat alone. You are everything that's bad about the AIM. Where else do you think 25 million shares vanished to?
Ah Moni, my bipolar co holder - I did answer, look up their function .
Sleep well
Ah Jimzi the sage of Oldham....you still didn't answer a simple question. I suppose it was more challenging for you than I could have assumed. I don't believe in pots of gold at the end of rainbows, and clearly the MMs don't either despite CF's optimistic blarney..?
Ah Moni.
After all these years you still ask the dumbest of questions.
Look up what mms do perhaps ?
GL though
Because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush...
Can anyone give me a good reason why the MMs would recycle Acacia shares at circa 12/13p when if this is such a sure bet they could just sit on them themselves and pocket a huge profit in a few months. Simple enough question any good answers?
It has made a very strong base to make a spring from. We will move to 14-16p zone over the next weeks once downtrend res from 16p is broken.
Let's put it this way the trading update is looking very nice indeed. Great update via great contracts.
The large sells are declining and the shares are getting absorbed. The chart says upward resolution in the next week.
Moniman... I am firmly in the seller is Starboard LP camp myself asa working theory. They have to disclose their 13g filing to the SEC on positions for the last quarter by August 15th. We will know if it is (or was) them by that date. 25m shares is a lot to shift (if they are) and Cathal is confident that Insitutions et al from the last raise are sticky holders. Either way the only good thing about the last two months has been a good price for top ups :)
Well Deepjoy, I hope the market comes to the same conclusion. It's a bit strange SP falling today as I assumed it was normal that "insider traders" are usually one step ahead of the rest of us any breaking news are they not?
Moniman... I have just heard Cathal present on A J Bell and he sadi the following during Q&A - "we are no longer a loss making business" . The reason he cannot talk about contract win valuations is simple.. He wants to ensure that he is in a position to charge more as and when demand increases. For this reason he cannot really guide the market explicitly on the profitability point as thing stand but Guess What !? He just did.
Immutex - aims for disposal by year end either listed or sold. Simple and I've not heard him this bullish before and I've listened to a lot of interviews this year,
I've pointed it out several times already. Every RNS = share price fall...CF shouldn't waste time giving RNS on contract news, the market clearly doesn't give a flying fcuk. The market only understands one thing PROFIT..!!!!!!! CF should keep stum until a trading update gives a clear sign in profitability or the sale of Imutex..Contracts mean nothing unless they are profitable, and clearly the market doesn't think they are yet without a trading update...aimho adyoyr!!!
