Well somethings happening cos its a sea of blue for a change???
I think the point is, this is happening whether you like it or not.
Separately, this is an investment opportunity.
Hey.... Save your money and just leave the fridge door open !
o well lets hope so - stuff the planet as long as we make our Wonga - tell ya what with my profits I will buy a load of air con units - help cool the planet down - well you have to give back a little don't you
May have been TIC but for many parts of that region
not just Pakistan is very true. Next door Bangladesh
former East Pakistan, still has daily outages across
the entire country, even at capacity just about copes
and during peak times falls 10-30% below demand
and as previous poster said, a high percentage still
don't even have access.
Warrants being rinsed through at 0.890p.
MM's Offering 0.888p for huge amounts.
It's the same with EVs. If you visit somewhere like say Morocco you realise that no way are they able to afford electric vehicles
Duster, I understand your concern but with China's backing - nobody is telling them what to do. Plus Pak currently imports coal, it creates more CO2 mining it else where then shipping it across the world. It behests developed nations to find cleaner energy sources. Developing nations dont have this option to expensive green energy.
he he lol - nice one
They are actually turning a large proportion of the Thar block 6 coal into fertilizer to help grow food.
It won't come to their attention. How would know about what's happening in Australia if they can't even charge their iPhones?
(That was tongue-in-cheek btw, before people start shouting....)
Sure there's a chance - a zero chance imo
you say that but recent events such as in Australia have bought the seriousness of the situation to the attention of the world , comes a time when people have to take notice - that's all I am saying - there is a chance this project will never happen - I guess the locals may have to find alternative form of energy - or carry on as they do now maybe - anyways gl
DH,
1) I assume you have electricity in your home. How would you feel about climate change if you were one of the 30% of Pakistanis who don't have electricity?
2) The government has spent billions of infrastructure to get to this point. They are hardly going to pull the plug now.
yep I get that - but pressure from the rest of the world may stop projects like this - certainly imo peeps are less likely to invest in company such as this - some people have morals don't you know ?
Duster, who is going to stop a sovereign nation from using its resources? The UN? Greta?
explain please dv as not a clue what your on about
Duster, I think you ought to update your knowledge of what is actually happening in Asia!
coal - power stations - climate change -( remember Australia on fire ?) are projects like this really going to be allowed to happen or will they be stopped in their tracks by the do - gooders ?? if there is no viable alternative in the area then I guess it will happen ?? I think this is an issue here
