last time there was a placing...we went up by something like 700% ( peak ) in about 2-3 weeks thats 7 fold.....so if another placing can give us another ..700% rise...i dont mind it a single bit...infact we ought to be doing one every other day.
On serious note... a question of placing is a good one....which will only bother shortterm holders.....for me i am not asked....as 90% of companies here on aim do a placing...if we had the funds in the bag....we would have been on ftse 100...like engro ( block 2 ) is on main market in pakistan.
Other thing to note.....most companies cant get a placing away...for us it will be easy ( if it was to happen )....and indeed if it did happen it is most likely to be at premium ( like it has been the case in past ).
We have historical costs to recover...and we also have someting like £1.8m in warrants left.....its been already stated the our project will be funded via china banks.....from my own research i think pakistani banks will not want to miss out...so they will be included.
Fear of placing should not put anyone off...rather have it penciled in just in case so you dont have a shock......always have monies on the side....to take advantage of panic selling on such news....be prepared mentally. In anycase lets say there is a placing in future.....we dont know if shareprice will still be hovering around these prices.....i rather if placing was done further down the line at higher shareprice.
We have had some solid support around these levels.....may it continue....there is immense interest in orcp now...just look at that poll going around on twitter....out of something like 600 votes we are clearly ahead at 40%......that basically saying there are minimum 250 of who are already in......once this vote gets passed and if we are at the poll....article will be written re-orcp.....i was looking at their site...when they mention a share ( write about it )......it spikes......they must have lots of followers i dont know.....key thing is that poll has shown us interest is really high atm...and as days and weeks go by.....it will only get better and better...
last 3 days have seen 375m + 180 m+ 100m = 655m shares being traded ( including nex ).....once the ball gets rolling.....these numbers will be history.....we could easily see billion plus traded in a day.
My own take is ...we are too low atm...we should be sitting at around.....£50m-£100m minimum....and i feel the current shareprice can be taken advantage of....but please note....nothing goes up in a straight line....when one buys....they should do so for med-longterm......try not to outsmart the market.....market always wins......just like mm's are winning right now.
SWEET DREAMS
Jimiam:
It's cool and apologise if I came across a lil' rough.. tbh I held on to what I knew...because tbh it's not really new info as such... rather an affirmation of, 'An acceleration of timelines', more than anything else!
BigCamera:
Like I said mate... He's a Brigadier in the Army there and is a specialist in the medical field, but he's affirmed that a lot of projects are being moved along at a faster pace than normal. He gave me a few examples within the medical arena...But naturally he's not privy to facts of the ORCP project that are publicly unknown, but is aware of the movement of it, as the govt. is looking to secure it's energy requirements for the future.
It's a buy more & hold for me, as I see this company tick all the boxes at a rapid rate than normal!
Bladey
Thanks for sharing the information from your close family friend. I for one am keen to be informed of anything the high ranking officer can divulge,.
achilles many thanks, most helpful and pretty much what I thought but wasn't sure if we had to put in an "ante" to be in the game! Much appreciated gla.
Chinese banks will fund this, around $1.9 billion. China already invested $64 billion into CPEC projects, whats another couple of billion for a priority project for both China and Pakistan lol. We have Thar block 6, China already built a similar power plant in block 1 last year, now its our turn :)
thanks both just asking the question been bitten many times by unforseen........
Should be getting all historical spend back so hopefully no placing........
Good evening all ,new investor here with a modest 1m holding. I have read past rns's and done what due diligence I can but admit last weeks purchase was a knee jerk reaction which the more I look into it I am happy to hold and possibly add next week. one thing I need help on is in the BB's opinion is there any likelyhood of a placing?? I am an experienced investor just need a tad more insight if anyone would be so kind TIA
Jimiam, I haven't divulged anything new except to concrete what most of us invested are already aware of... Unfortunately i'm not privy to information such as exact timelines of events. We already aware this is being fast-tracked... I just wanted to make sure that is the case in question... and it is! If you're looking to read between the lines of anything I've written... that's a problem you need to deal with as I don't personally believe I'm leading anyone astray here!
This won't be standing still. This is getting going. Great time to build a good position if you haven't already I feel.
.... But I've talked to a very close family friend who is a ranked officer in the army over there and although he's not based in the energy sector, he's in medical...BUT he has confirmed that most over there are well aware of this project and the fast-tracking nature it has undertaken and it really is Mr. Khans wishes to have this project come to a conclusion as fast as possible... he's apparently sick of the red-tape, bribery & profiteering that nation has had to endure from previous political leaders and their respective Governments.
From Ms. Memons recent tweets in regards to the Sind Chief Ministers tweet, further concretes how quickly they're moving things along. I shared what I had learnt on Friday with another member here before realisation of the Sind Ministers tweet.
So all I can say is ORCP is a unique company in the sense they are in a position where other sectors companies are not, they've got the backing to fruition in a much smaller timeline than other companies within the same sector have. Needless to say I will be accumulating more next week! GLA
