Hi, Sector @ 10.41
I agree with you about Brad. He's my second favourite CEO (after Nicole Galloway, at Thor).
Best wishes
Further to my last post, it looks like OMI was possibly previously listed on AQUIS before moving to AIM a year ago. Is that correct? --- I see that there are LSE pages for OMI.PL (the AQUIS equivalent) with no recent chat comments but it lists my recent buys on its trades list today but not on the trades list of this AIM OMI page. If AQUIS is historic/ defunct why are both this website and ADVFN reporting my buys today as being on AQUIS not AIM???? Does it make any difference anyway?
Does this stock have dual listing in UK on both AQUIS and AIM? If so, why and does it matter which one our trades are done on? My buys today via HL show on ADVFN as being AQSE not LSE buys. Is that correct or an error. HL did not give me a choice or notify of that selection. -------The ADVFN trades list shows 70,000 buys and no sells on AQSE and 166,000 buys to 200,000 sells on LSE. All the sells on LSE were in the morning and most from just a couple of trades, one of which was for 100,000 shares. Arguably if all trades were on LSE the stock should be up today not down.
I like the CEO Brad hes far from rampy and comes across subtly confident what hes sat on. Anyone who hasnt watched the interviews with vox etc they are a must. Been here a while i like what i see. Yes mamba covid delays are out of the bods hands. Busy months ahead should get really interesting apta still drilled should throw out more top grades. OMI n CORA grades are next level
As Brad said once. This is a very good company with not such good luck. The issue with the Lab in Peru certainly has been responsible for the lack of news and the falling share price as the results have been very good. The trust fund should be almost done selling as the Uruguayan courts requires the process to be completed by September 2021. JV partners to make payments before 7 September. Tin JV decisions. Further results from APTA to be announced. It seems the next month and a half should be pretty busy. Big gains to be made with positive announcements from the above.
The grades and drilling will speak for itself which is what CEO Brad George said. Newmont sold Buritica n kept hold of Anza. Top grades yes.
Hi, Dr @18.20
Thanks for correcting my moment of pessimism at 17.54. You're certainly right about the grades; I'm not a geologist, but even I know excellence when I see it.
Best wishes
The big factor here is we’ve basically only just started drilling. The drilling has been on a far from favoured area, drilled solely due to accessibility. Throwing us grades such as 59.55m @ 9.61g/t, 23.75m @ 17.40g/t, 0.4m @ 948g/t, 21.6m @ 6.02g/t , 70.50 @ 3.5G/t. Great potential here, could it be the next Buritica, Marmato or La Colossal? Who knows, but I’m confident we’re sat on something special. All in my opinion of course. Lots of potential news also due.
Hi, Seingred @ Fri, 21.02
You're right about this. GGP was an exception, and it's a mistake to base one's decisions on the hope of seeing it happen twice. And perhaps, as you say, it's already happened at OMI. Most of these AIM shares spike on good news, then fall back to where they were.
Best wishes
Coggy,lools .
You know as well as I that only listening to the impending multibag posts can be expensive . Buy in small ammounts downwards for me, gold being hammered is going to help push this a bit further I reckon . But hey when we do get news and a spike there will be plenty apparently more than willing to pay 24,34, 40 p eTc. Me I will be selling some .
Not negative on this share at all just wary of some of the posting. I am well up and going to try and keep it that way.
Good luck here and elsewhere
No need to rub it in Seingrouge. Just cos I'm in at 22 lol
Said it before,no reason to pay over 20 p here. Entering buy territory again.
GGP hit over a billion MC at it's height, now around 700mil
Omi reached aroung 70mil at it's height, now around 30mil
In my opinion the true GGP like rise (to date) is still ahead, and two majors are leading the way there. if OMI, at the end, see's a final value of half of what GGP has done, we will be in the £'s
With that view, the majors, £6m (almost certainly soon to become £10m) in the bank, No debt, those majors paying for everything, proven hugely successful sites in the area (Buritica with 11mil oz and growing, right next door)....
I would consider this a hugely promising place to put your money...IMO
Why pay for it now when they’ll own 75% anyway?
Imp, I take on board what you say but omi has already seen a ggp like rise to 40 p and established a fairly predictable spike and pullback form . My point is it seems odd to me that certain posters promote buying after a big rise rather than when it is down.
Ggp is a very unusual aim success which just about every bb is using to justify big possible valuations . I could give far more examples where extractives are promoted and end up losing most of their value. Imv the best strategy on aim is to christallize gains and buy back cheaper when possible. just my view but has worked well for me here . Expand my holding without putting new cash in . of course I may get it wrong and regret it but hasnt happened yet but I did buy in sub 4 p .
Good luck .
Hi, Seingred @14.23
One has to realise that these decisions are shaped by one's own experience. Not so long ago, I had £10k to invest, and GGP was 2.1p. I thought, I'll wait for it to come back to 2p. But it never did. I then bought back in at 3.2p, on a rising trend, and I thought, O, I'm a fool, I'm paying too much. And the price now? 17p.
Best wishes
The odd thing with OMI is, when the share price drops 'some still sell at 17p when they could have sold at over 20p the week before. Hopefully this tiresome LORYSER drag will be gone very soon and the share price can get back to where it should be at over 30p.
Mr d , cheers for the wake up call on sar .bought back in around 7 p .
The odd thing with omi is, when the sp shoots up ,lots of posters are happy to buy when they could have bought much lower the week before or indeed a week after generally. Getting close to buy price for me but see no sense in paying 20 p plus .
I've reinvested some divi's from elsewhere to top up my holding.
I can't see it going down much relative to the potential upside here.
I've been in since 11p and have watched it go up to 20p down to 2p up to 40p+ and back down to 15p and now.
Compared to some other miners there are not too many shares in issue, so, so long as they don't issue shares or options to dilute us, then we should see the (potentially substantial) benefits of any further discoveries.
The one niggle to me is that if the larger miners can see such potential here, given the £ 30 odd million capitalisation of the the entire company, why are they not buying OMI now rather than waiting for the results of the drilling tests (that they're paying for) and the price (hopefully) skyrocketing ?
Here's hoping for some more news soon...
If they sell stocks they don't own they have
to make a lot of noise to influence investors.
These Drama Queens are mean and want to buy
as cheaply as possible. Freeloaders are pathetic.
Webbs - why on earth would you sell stock you don't currently own?
When the inevitable big news lands with SAR, i will be topping up my OMI pot big time! Would like the price to hang around here just a little bit longer for that obviously, but anything near to this ridiculously low market cap is a bargain, and a rare opportunity IMO
Probably due to Lorysers sell orders in place Webb’s. It can’t be too long until there out.
