Qs. Got to say, I didn't interpret Callum's remarks like that at all. Didn't think he was criticising Conger or anyone else. Just saying he would make his own judgement regardless of what anyone else thinks. Also, he hadn't been posting so much recently. Atb.
Another twist to the long running oilex saga
I did try and look up his net worth earlier
Just occurred to me. I wonder if Mr Wessel could be putting up his own cash as a jv partner. Hmmm.
I agree Gordon, we all know how the unicorns often got started, I just read about Brewdog’s early days. Pretty much hay and water in some garage until got properly underway.
Espen. Hopefully, the motivation is the challenge of building up another small company into something big. Atb.
£340m sale to go and take a “measly” £150k wage? Is he big on charitable giving I wonder?
ncar let’s hope he can do something half has good here so I can finally get a new car
Our new CEO
"Roland founded and built Star Energy, the UK onshore operator of 25 oil and gas fields, through to its listing on AIM in 2004 and its sale to Petronas in 2008."
At which point Star was valued at about £340 MILLION
This man knows what he is doing, delighted with the appointment!
Yes Gordon
There's been a lot of rumours for a while and some of us have got close to the Mark
UK gas price is at currently at £6.5 MMBTU so given all the existing structure in Liverpool bay /Morecambe and the low drill depth it has good potential, theres 22 m homes in UK with gas boilers.
Also offshore drill is far less likely to rock the environmental boat then Cuadrilla in Lancs and other Uk land based drills.
I like the ESG credential's of Carbon storage as I have posted on potential before for investment down the line
Anyway staring at share price daily for me is boring, the shares will churn and we will progress hopefully.
Buy or sell people should do what best for there pocket
off topic
(Fingers crossed we open up Uk in 4 weeks there's a lot business that are starting to struggle now and i while i was intailly for lockdown I think we need to start opening up for our own sanity as well as the youngsters who haven't been to concert in a year and a half !)

Hi Callum. Well if we're going to show off. Only kidding. Lol. On 21st February 2020 when Oilex were trying to sell the Australian assets to Doriemus, I posted this.
"Personally, wouldn't be totally amazed if when the dust settles, Oilex don't sell their Cambay share to concentrate on the East Irish Sea. Not saying it's likely, just wouldn't rule it out."
Obviously, still not that likely but it would seem more possible after today's news. Atb.
and I shared this tweet 24 hours before the RNS

even an idiot like me can see where this is going.

Roland and the Board believe in the crucial ongoing role that natural gas will play in the energy transition as part of a mix of energy sources required over the next 30 years. Roland will seek to transform Oilex into a carbon-neutral company with carbon capture and storage (CCS) being one future area of focus.
