Time to buy now. Great buying opportunity
Was over 0.45 just back in April.
Oh yeah, and how they treat their staff at Ellon. Shocking.
Oh god, Brewdog.
I remember driving past as a kid when they had a tiny warehouse with 1x Silo outside. Don't get me wrong, it's incredible what they've done and I tip my hat to anyone who can built a business that well - but they annoy the hell out of us locals for three reasons (my neighbour knows one of the Directors, long term pals)
A) Completely forgotten where they come from
B) Talk utter bull on twitter & linkedin about what they're doing, how they're achieving it all etc.
C) Keep pushing this "We're almost carbon negative, blah blah" when not a single tree has grown, typically too busy flying in a private jet to Las Vegas to open another chain, knock-on effect flying beer all over the world, selling more burgers & avocados.
Couldn't be less carbon neutral, maybe in 50 years.
They pitched for Dragons Den once, producers said it wasn't unique/profitable enough to go on the show.
LOL
It is all interesting this new “trend”. I’ve been reading about brewdog, they are looking to become the world’s for carbon negative brewery business. They’ve bought a huge amount of land in scotland, basically to help them with this. Completely irrelevant to their core business mi d you, but their not shy about selling the message.
So whether you are offsetting yourself or paying others to do it for you, it is going to make production significantly more expensive and/or less profitable. Or am I missing something? Gl.
Thanks Callim. Some very interesting stuff. So looks like some companies will be able to make good money out of carbon storage. It will obviously be a cost for other companies to off set which will increase the costs of production.
Love the clips. Hilarious. Atb.
By the way if it all goes "Pete tong"
Have a drink!

We are some of the old crew but theres experience to had among us.
Ei are making some decent money out of Carbon storage even at this early stage in East Irish.

India is allowed to use oil and gas as it catching up on West .
But games over once in developed countries for oil gas exploration.

Net zero is the only game in town for Developed countries.
India is different ,they are entitled to play catch up.
Doesn't take a genius to work out where the big money is going in next few years

Anyway fingers crossed Roland can deliver a sustainable company .

Yes remembered when I listened that I had heard it before. First 30 minutes were his cv.
As Callum says he's very keen on carbon capture. Be interesting to know more about hoe the finances of that work.
Keen to emphasise that the Irish Sea assets at this stage are purely exploratory with nothing guaranteed.
Talked about acquiring assets that were producing. Be nice to know more about how that will be financed and how it will add value to the company. Will need a lot of capital.
Excellent to see his ambition for the company but very light on detail. Hardly surprising after one day in the job.
Gla.
Roland's switched on.
The minute he mentioned Carbon storage and capture in East Irish i knew he got it
Watch as over the next 10 years the shut down all non ESG /Carbon storage oil and Gas production in the UK.
Either you offset the footprint or you won't be allowed to play .

The one you haven’t heard, listen to it from start to finish. Quite interesting where we could be in a year or 2.
Hadn't seen that one. That was from 21st June and you are right he does say drilling by the end of the year.
However, in this one from 11th July he says with regard to drilling two vertical Wells.
" We hope to do that early next year".

Maybe he didn't know in the earlier interview how
long GOI approval would take.

He says by the end of the year…
But of course he’s only forecasting.
Can't remember which interview it was in. In any case if GOI approval doesn't come until September drilling this year is very unlikely.
I’ll race you to find it…
Ready steady go!…
Pretty sure he said next year.
The most update drilling estimation was from Roland himself and he said by the end of the year. But not to shoot him if it falls into next year…
Blurhope. Nobody at Oilex said drilling would start second quarter. Someone posted some nonsense from something called armchair trader which said that. Always completely impossible.
They did say GOI approval and finance news expected second quarter. Atb.
I actually like the new CEO as I believe he is under promising but will over deliver. The real reason the share dropped was previous CEO stated drilling would start end of second quarter and that Indian Gov approval would happen before the drill start.
Delays happen but just a waiting game and things happen when you least expect it, usually after a drop in share price.
Good luck to all genuine PI's.
Yes Espenviking that would be nice and a clear indicator that a cracking RNS is on its way.
I also know that if not tomorrow but in the near future (within a few months) things will start to fall into place. Key here is to hold and not listen to the daily rampers/derampers who are trading each day.
Another 300% tonight in oZ, like last time, would work - atb
I don't think the market works like that. If they have 'got wind' of something it would spread like wildfire. At least we have lost most of the "good news coming tomorrow" brigade who made daily predictions for a couple of months until they lost interest and more to the point credibility. This share is something for 5-10% of a portfolio on the off chance that it sky rockets. Anyone who holds 50% plus in Oilex will either be very poor or very rich in a couple of years time because I suspect that Oilex either won't exist or it will have gone through the roof, but I would rate it 50/50 based on its history.
Share price in Australia took a 25% jump at end of day. Tomorrow is Thursday and the day OEX tend to issue news.
Could be nothing but this has happened a few times before and seems Australia get wind of news before us.
Maybe it could finally be the overdue news of Indian Government approval. Only guessing but I won't be surprised.
