An awful week regarding SP yes, but you have to look at this as an opportunity. Capacity, capacity ratios & future funding was clearly explained with the help of the slides. De-risked yet again. It's easy for me to say because I am still in profit but I've got rid of dead wood this week to increase my holding here. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could advance my position at these prices. If you wanted to exit this (calander) year I can understand the frustration.
It was advertised as an Investor Presentation. My comments reference the quality of the presenting and the fact they could have kept shareholders informed by using a better presenter and more concise language.
It's got nothing to do with the presentations, it's good they keep the market updated, it's not a personality contest!
It's about having great capacity with no sales, when the sales come in the price will go up..
It's dropped 35% in 3 weeks so I hope they HTFU!
You are right stu, we need someone more dynamic and better at PR doing these presentations. Colin has the knowledge but he's absolutely awful at presenting and selling the company and every time he speaks the share price drops. However well the company is progressing this has been an awful week for shareholders. I hope next week is better.
For what it is worth I thought Colin’s presentation on Wednesday was poor. Most of the information I wanted was in there but I only found it after replaying the presentation several times. Maybe that is more of a reflection of me as an observer, but for the neutral logging on I doubt many made it to the end. My point is exemplified by the disputes on the boards for the last few days over what was and wasn’t said by Colin, when the deadlines are, and indeed what products we are involved with, etc. A slick presentation (and yes I agree they can become too slick and corporate at times) would have been more punchy, bullet pointed where necessary and less errms and other unprompted pauses. There is a reason companies employ presenters and PR – to get the message out in a clear and concise way, and certainly in a voice with a bit of inflexion and enthusiasm. Colin could have fielded the Q+A where his invaluable knowledge and expertise would have been perfect. Yes, it was better than the last one, but the bar was set very low.
Colin is a huge asset to ODX but let’s play to his strengths, presenting is not one of them. A good presentation would give clarity to shareholders and for me, we didn’t get that.
I have a good investment here but I expect more from the public face of the company (and don’t get me started on Walbrook).
Here’s to a good week next week.
