cant understand the press being so quiet about this.
they know Innova is s**t, they reported on it initially. so why not more digging?
why no insisting that the much fabled UK test is finally put to work in the UK?
just what is the delay ?
i have to say i don't mind FFB's posts, he is at least honest and does not wear rose tinted glasses like some, who only seem to see the positives, even though ZERO has been achieved ..... YET !!!
the ONLY thing that matters is orders, any other BS released to the market that causes the slightest rise will be sold into, as has been evident over the past months,
so .... UNTIL such time as meaningful and substantial orders are received... we remain in the speculative BS zone sadly !!
"Porton Down WILL NOT validate (pass) a home-use test until the Government want a home-use test rolling out"
Whilst certain, Porton Down 'approved' tests, are being bought for £Bs with suitcase fulls of cash being sent to anonymous offshore bank accounts, the Gov't are unlikely to allow PD to pass anything that will get in the way, unless there is enough political pressure or investigations, or threat thereof.
They control the purse strings, and the approvals/testing process and can point the finger at approvals, even though they control the approvals.
Corruption as far as I can see.

"All we need now is for a UK diagnostics developer or manufacturer to work out how to present a test to Porton Down specifications and requirements and we might just get out of the S**thole that we find ourselves in."
In Colin's presentation, he basically said (in words to this effect), Porton Down WILL NOT validate (pass) a home-use test until the Government want a home-use test rolling out.... therefore (in my eyes) this means various test could pass their rigorous specification, but they won't acknowledge a pass (or will reject UK tests saying 'must try harder'), ... so we (and the British public), wait, and wait, until Boris and Co decide its time to sign a contract for an accurate UK test.
Hands up who shouts at the TV and Radio when you hear anyone say the LFT tests are rubbish and are so inaccurate you might as well flick a coin!
Obviously the Gov have 'sneaked' the innova test through for home testing under emergency use (which seems is the only defence and answer they have when questioned why the UK are saddled with such a sh*t, inaccurate test) ... and all the lab puppets who's strings our Government are pulling just turn a blind eye as to wether the innova test is worthy or not... and just tick a few boxes cos they are told to.
I'm now wondering what deals have been done with Innova... could the 3+b quid be someone linked to this factory Innova want to build in the UK? - brown envelope, tax incentive , you supply this and we'll fast track planning apps, etc, etc.
This post may be pure speculation and some on this bb may strongly disagree but having listened to Colin King's presentation it may be the case that Mologic failed to present its application/ tests to Porton Down correctly then simply waited for positive news of results which were not forthcoming. Yes, Mologic have achieve positive results elsewhere but were told repeatedly that there were problems with what they presented to PD. They also let Avacta down badly when they relied on a third party to make their PD application and then through neglect or complacency 'forgot' to check on progress thus creating long delays in the approval process. That in itself could have left HMG in the sticky situation where they needed LFTs but nothing had been passed by PD from the UK suppliers and hence forced their hand to go against the FDA advice and extend the emergency use of the Innova rubbish.
None of this is written in support of HMG. I still believe they are an incompetent bunch of left overs arising from the Brexit debacle backed by a civil service that has rarely been fit for purpose but it does leave us with hope. All we need now is for a UK diagnostics developer or manufacturer to work out how to present a test to Porton Down specifications and requirements and we might just get out of the S**thole that we find ourselves in.
