iPhone/MB....both great points - to add, the 8% are also as a result of very flaky testing AND on the back of the body's own created antibodies to COVID. That's the point of a vaccine, to enhance those antibodies and ongoing, the RTC antibody test will be there to test the mass population. There is also the point of some people not being receptive to vaccinations and their body being unable to produce antibodies full stop....equally as important to test as those with antibodies.
MB - That was my point. If they know exactly how many peeps have antibdies, they can get at least those peeps in work should a 2nd lock down happens.
I think lock down will happen next month when schools close, Oct.
MB, Abi have been ready for a while now because they did not have to wait for a tech transfer like ODX. Therefore, they need to know what the gov wants to do. Each month delayed is income lost.
10% of the population back to normal is better than 0%. But it will increase every day. If these tests went on the shelf in boots everyone would want to take one even just to know one way or another, that is another plus point in sales confidence.
Abingdon health are the lead of the consortium. If they are selling we are selling as we are a supplier to the UK RTC.
Chuggley - they have always said science has to prove it. how much and for how long.
did they say 'their protection reduces over time' or did they say antibodies fade over time?
i doubt they would have used 'protection'.
I do hope antibodies to protect - isnt that what vaccines make you create
And the fact they've clearly said antibodies and their protection reduce over time - this means regular antibody testing is vital and will be huge
The more with antibodies, the better for the economy. If a 2nd locked down was to happen , which looks imminent imho as the numbers multiply over the next 2 - 3 weeks (all projection point that way), those with antibodies can keep working. If you have not tested to find out who those peeps are, they're going to have to lockdown everyone.
They confirmed antibodies fade but they've had long enough to confirm if antibodies protect. If they do, which is highly likely, antibody testing needs to be done on the masses.
For ODX, things will happen sooner or later. I want to know from CK when the MOU will expire and if he can sell privately until gov make their mind up. Abbi have been ready to sell since July ffs
