On twitter the rumours about Avcta group joining with omega ???
They also say they are evaluating several other tests. And so far only firming up 10m of 500m tests expected over the next 12 months.

Note 4 out of the 9 members of ACT are backers of Mologic.

Excellent post merchant. Maybe the next step is a full merger with Moligic
Abbot are no where near as accurate. These tests are geared for a purpose. 130m tests is nothing in a market of billions. The scale seems to evade people here
Merchantbanker - That's a great find. This is getting coverage all over BBC news. Mologic seems to be involved in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. If I'm not mistaken Mologic has an agreement with Omega to produce antibody and antigen tests. If this is the case that means we'll be supplying the UK and the global market. Thanks for that great piece of news MB.
But Abbott and SD Biosensor are named as the manufacturers - not mologic, not odx!
Aren't odx basically one of the manufacturers for mologic? I would expect an rns first thing were this the case. Is Boris going to let Trump announce this?
No mention of Mologic on bbc article. Could it be that ODX have been cut out of this particular deal. I just can’t see how odx benefit from this - does anyone gave real clarity on whether this deal is good or bad for ODX?
" So where does ODX come in to play on this "
Well ODX have access to Mologic's tests to make and brand as their own. Therefore if Mologic have the test developed, appraised and approved, then we have the same.
The sensitivity is between 80 and 90% . To put that into perspective 100,000 to 200,000 tests in a million may be incorrect.
So the grant was award in August to Mologic. So where does ODX come in to play on this and will There not be an RNS. It looks to me that Mologic has been given the grant to set up th3 manufacturing themselves..
Not a grant for development, but for manufacturing. Seeing as they already have a facility for the antibody tests you would have to assume this is for Antigen tests. Big green light that Mologic have cracked it. Mologic cracked it = Omega cracked it.

Bit silly to grant Mologic $27m
I would be very surprised if moligic are not doing their bit via omega. just my view going by the original collaboration agreement together with moligics and omegas ethics
Those are some very large numbers (120m) in a hell of a lot of countries (133).
Have Bill and Melinda bypassed Mologic to go with Abbot and SD Biosensor?
This is very interesting
sorry if its already been discussed
Rapid test rollout
