Maximillian3 - Don't know who this Mike is your referring to, and what makes you think I have an axe to grind? I'm just stating facts around staff numbers, income generated, CDTA, all the usual stuff around ODX. I suggest you get back to your emails and letter writing, your confused.
If you contact Surescreen they will tell you!!
TCO is not doing himself any favours if he has suggested in his complaint that the surescreen tests are chinese.
ummm...they aren't.
MIKEODX - Are you the same Mike that was sacked from ODX and therefore you have an axe to grind?
The CDTA is a deliberate complete corrupt bottleneck to prevent companies from validating their products. I have this morning emailed every MP I can. Hopefully it will be brought to the attention of a packed house during PMQ time. We have collectively made a noise before so let's pull together and make a huge noise.
_TCO - are you saying the Surescreen tests are in fact Chinese?
Tbh I am surprised surescreen are not sniffing around to buy out odx at the moment
It is sitting there with a mcap just over £20m and £17m of gov equipment sitting in place ready...that they could prob use with permission straight away.
Immediate increase in capacity..and even a couple of non COVID products to develop for life after covid
They could have my shares for 30p
@Maximillian3 well said. Following BJ response to Neil about UK tests being manufactured in nottingham by surescreen, I have sent all the health and shadow health team an email informing them of their misinformation (because they are chinese manufactured), the new £322 mill contract with innova in Dec 2021 and CDTA delays (again)
Come on let's be realistic. Even if the tests were approved, ODX do not own the test, and dont have the resources to be financially competitive in an already saturated market. CTDA is a red herring right now. All ODX can do now is build on their current portfolio which is going to be very difficult in these Covid times. Put this to bed and come back in three to six months when things have hopefully improved with Covid.
You can all moan your face off about lack of approvals or do something about it. Email your MP, anyone who has a voice.
"Covid test firm urges end to tests for travellers
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60063606"
Of course, it's not really a Covid test firm - it's a facilities firm that provides Covid tests. It wants to get rid of restrictions as they are impacting the bulk of its business, which is not testing related.
The UK is going to become (even further) a national pariah... we are already being talked about internationally as a plague island and we can expect to see further restrictions placed on travellers from the UK that will not apply to people from other countries as a result.
france 425000
spain 157000
italy 188000
cases - so not exactly over
It's not.End of discussion.
In terms of mega trends such as green energy, veganism, esports, AI, Blockchain, CBD etc... does anybody see same level of growth or excitement in covid stocks. Why is investing in a covid stock when the pandemic is all but over a better place to put my money than the aforementioned sectors? Discuss
Surely we would have to be notified if we had failed CTDA approval..was Bethall hinting at this when he stated he knew of no delays with the application process? Why,if it's supposed to take 20 days,is it taking forevvverrrrr ? No other UK LFTs approved yet either..is it a case of 'if you haven't passed Porton Down you prob won't pass CTDA' and we just haven't been told ?? Afterall,it took a long time for us to be told we hadn't passed PD...correct me please..
And of course new PCR tests don't immediately help things as my, admittedly limited understanding is that PCR capacity is limited by lab capacity. Unless of course some of these tests have accelerated results or a much more automated process.
On the other hand, the CTDA keeping uk LFTs in the slow lane just accidently helps HMG, in terms of being able to point to the lack of certified tests.
Where is the rationale in approving PCR tests when a positive LFT no longer requires a PCR as secondary testing? There is no LFT on this list of approved tests. The British Biotech companies have been well and truly let down.
Can anyone accurately confirm the number of ALL Chinese tests purchased?
But it's only another PCR test (from a Spanish company)...
The total incompetence of the UKHSA and MHRA is the key issue here.
