"This is a CEO that signed the HMG gov contract and sat back with a "job done" grin."
Amen to that - would have been ok if he had read it properly before getting his coloured crayons out - but clearly even that was too much work for him...or his pay as you go was out of credit and he could not contact the lawyers
hash tag clueless colin out or sp will sink further..your choice
And therein lies the problem, you need a CEO that plans for and designs options and different paths to success, based on the fact that once or more avenues may not work out due to things unknown. In my opinion, This is a CEO that signed the HMG gov contract and sat back with a "job done" grin.
''ODX never stood a chance''
Not according to Colin! Led us down a garden path, then nicked our lunch money, then pulled our trousers down...

Spot on - that’s my view
There is still an opportunity for Omega IF they can clear CTDA/ EU HUA and Governments withdraw free LFT’s for everyone other than public sector settings.
It’s not over for Omega/ Covid Testjng (yet) but they need the validations, alongside DAM and their outsourced sales consultants they could generate some decent ( relative ) sales
"As a result, it was necessary to fully utilise the supply of LFTs available under tender C40441 and then increase the volume of LFTs available under that tender to 713,500,000. "
"No further tender process was required to implement this modification"
They got the award of an additional 113M lfts without having to tender, at an increased price. Its hard to know for sure but one interpretation is that the the 713M units cost £322M. Another interpretation is that the (unspecified) remainder of the 600M original tender, plus the 113M extra units, was £322M.
713M lfts from Innova since August, who knows how many Orient Gene/ Flowflex. UK was never going to be able to provide the volumes required, so if you are buying 1B+ tests from 2 companies in China in a 6 month period, why go to all the hassle of buying 50M from a UK company at more cost and now you have another variation to deal with.
ODX never stood a chance.
"either gov are buying and stockpiling or else they are stopping the issue of free tests?"
We already know from the press that the government have increased their stockpile in January by an additional 400M LFT,
Perhaps Donkey is keeping his head down because he was seen partying with Boris in No10, clutching a bottle of Buckfast.
benny - it seems you still can't bring yourself to say anything critical about colin "cant sell a test"????
"Nothing positive to be said about Omega just now for sure...Just a trader for the time being :)"
unfortunately that has been the case since about May 2021 when the big launch ended up being a big lunch
"Suggest this contract demonstrates the Government will continue to build stock piles of LFT’s - Same across the Western world to support public services like health / community care
The market for Omega has to private be that travel and potentially business as free tests for all are phased out"
oke - is that not a bit contradictory? either gov are buying and stockpiling or else they are stopping the issue of free tests?
tbh what the gov does has no relation to odx. that ship has sailed.
At this rate as mentioned last week it won't be at much more than 8-10p... good luck
Couldnt agree more insiders have got wind of the hat being passed around ? but at what price.
Into the 14's we go... OMG!!!
Based on the share price movement it appears a placing is imminent...

Its baffling that even after the Ulster review on ‘ease of use’ plus multiple peer reviews of the Biotech showing it’s one of the best in the world, throw in it detects Omicron …We still can’t secure CTDA / EU HUA
Surely one or both have to come soon?
Exactly Pumpky,
That is one hell of a monthly wage bill, plus business running costs, do you think they are making something?
Atb
Just had an update from Donkey
He would like to contact the regulator and chase the ODX approval, but doesn’t have any credit left on his PAYG phone
The Question Surelu must be;what are all those employees doing at Alva?
benny - will try to do depending on how much actual work i have to do today - and no..lol..unfortunately i dont get paid by a boiler room - would be great if i was to make up more losses in odx whilst colin fiddles.
just out of interest how low does SP need to go before you wake up and smell coffee regarding colin?
jeez if garyn is sniffing around that is not good. he always takes immense pleasure in ordinary punters losing lots of cash ....always very quiet when one of his dogs loses money though...
oke - the point i was making wasn't about us tendering. it was that more tendering was going on and a) either colin did not know or b) did not see that the chances of odx being used were disappearing very fast bearing in mind the expiry date of his contract.
there was no way they were going to tender and use ODX
Captain
We can’t tender without clearing Porton Down
Mentioned this one over the weekend, it looks like GAD- at the time -produced duff kit for the Mologic / Avacta buffer/reagent hence both failed PD
So we have Innova which is banned in the USA by the FDA and multiple peer review trials on their LFT showing it’s not accurate but somehow it passed PD and with this award the Chinese head to nicking £4B of LFT’s from the U.K. government and same time the U.K. Government shafting the U.K. diagnostic market
The gravy train rolls on for the Chinese & Tories
great...
"Further to that DPS, UKHSA published an Invitation to Tender on 27 July 2021 with reference C40441 for the supply of up to 600 million LTFs in packs of 7. This tender concluded and contracts were awarded in September 2021."
about the time colin was telling us he was positive or was it optimistic in the discussions....basically did not have a clue what was going on
See our Chinese friends got another small bonus
