Merchant Banker, I am going out to do some shopping for the great British economy (Lol) but I just want to say absobloodylutely to everything in your post. And we should remind people that the fundraiser means they will have capacity for about 100 million tests a year, not 50 million. But damn right if they can expand further they will sell as fast as they produce. You will keep your shirt MB!

How can you question orders? Anyone who has concerns about the demand for this product has no clue exactly the importance and significance of the quality of this test. There will be no relevant competition.
We have already been told that per the agreement we will supply 200k per week. That is 10m tests a year in the bag. It is as good as an order. The tricky bit is the UK RTC will realise that firstly they will still struggle to meet UK demand quick enough even after between them their capacity is significantly higher than when the agreement was put together.
Colin has indicated to expect a supply agreement to be announced. I am expecting this to come in at greater than 200k per week. I would put my shirt on it. Omega need to work out how to allocate their capacity between UK RTC and Mologic. Perhaps the best approach is to use up as much capacity as possible on the first available product and one you get to maximum capacity expand further. By the time they reach maximum capacity they will have significant cash coming ion so they could buy more kit.
I cannot believe anyone with enough knowledge of this pandemic and the current tests out there would question the demand for these tests. Once they get validation, which they will, if they could make a billion in a week, they would be able to sell them by the weekend whether the UK Government by 50m or 1m.
Dibs, the government have put the party together, they aren’t paying for it. They’re setting up distribution channels through Boots and Amazon, again, they aren’t doing this and stumping is the cash.
amazon and boots will be customers/distributors, at a socially responsible price to end user, in this case 66m brits.
How many brits are saying they want an antibody test? Millions. The government have told people not to buy (even banned the sale of, I believe?) the low quality Superdrug kits, and to wait for the gold standard... their approved kit.
It’s here. Don’t worry about government not paying for it, they never were anyway
precious - their output will only be 50m (combined btw) IF the govt puts the orders in. And that imho is NOT a given.
It is all about orders now. Firm orders. Then sales. If we get them the market will rerate upwards perhaps even toward the hallowed £1. But until we get those we will not make significant SP progress.
''In the case of the UK-RTC, this means that project leader Abingdon Health of York is passing on the manufacturing protocols for the rapid at-home testing kit to other members of the consortium. They include Clackmannanshire based Omega along with BBI Solutions, CIGA and the University of Oxford. Their combined output is expected to reach 50 million tests annually.''
