Avacta board is where the interest in Avacta is, the attempt to cross ramp is not at all subtle.
Fourfigures that is funny
"Just like Calamity....under promise....and then disappear!"
I wouldn't have minded if he just disappeared, but he had to p**s all over our bonfire before he went
Hahaha or may be no pyjamas just boxer short lol
OK. He's got form then.
Yep cant argue that :)
Sounds like your too focussed on deadlines rather than game changing product Tsales :)
Tricky, this is a quote from a previous RNS:
"On the basis of these excellent initial data, the Company will now progress to a full clinical validation with a larger number of patient samples to CE mark the test for professional use, aiming to bring the test to market in Europe around the end of the first quarter of this year."
As you can see, timelines are usually a little off with AS. Take it a with a pinch of salt
Thats right Tsales Alastair has missed a few of his quoted deadlines if your being picky, though none of us know what the full story is behind the scenes.
The important thing is he hasn't rushed a bad product out which would have been terrible. Instead he has produced probably the best LFT available on S&S figures, and set the company up for potential legendary status in the AIM Market
This is just the start for Avacta, roll on the contracts and sales
Tsales, This is the subject of their RNS and first paragraph, copied and pasted. It says they plan to begin commercial rollout in Europe in May.
'Completing the technical data set for self-declaration of a CE mark for professional use in early May, followed immediately by commercial launch in Europe
Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of diagnostics and innovative cancer therapies based on its proprietary Affimer® and pre|CISION™ platforms, is pleased to announce positive data from the clinical validation of its AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test. Data from the clinical study conducted in Europe on 98 positive COVID-19 samples demonstrate excellent performance in identifying the SARS-CoV-2 virus across a broad range of viral loads. These data will now be combined with stability and other performance data from ongoing studies to finalise the technical file for CE marking the AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test for professional use, allowing the Company to begin commercial roll-out in Europe in May'.
Davand. Yep. The DHSC press release says that GAD and ODX will be making 2 million tests a week by the end of May to be precise. We'll get the heads up on what's happening a long way before the end of May. The PR is starting now from government. Check this out from yesterday:
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/9-in-10-pharmacies-now-offering-free-rapid-coronavirus-covid-19-tests
Han**** was retweeting this DHSC press release last night. I am pretty sure that's what tonight's press conference will be about.
Tricky, the RNS says they expect CE mark in early and look forward to updating the market in the coming months. AS has had many expectations regarding timelines and they have not once met his expectations. Therefore I think it's reasonable to expect it will be a bit later - if not , happy days
Imagine the valuation of the Affimer platform going forward now - forget a LFT (one of several Covid test BTW for Avacta) - The real value here for investors is the AFFIMER PLATFORM IP
Multiple Billions I would suggest
Tsales. Well that's not what their RNS says is it? It says completing tech transfer and CE mark in early May followed immediately by commercial roll out in Europe. So do you think they are lying to the market?
I'm thinking they aren't lying to the market and that they have everything set up so that this closely watched super test can go large asap. The world knows about this test. They are on the PATH WHO list of tests in the pipeline. So is Mologic of course. Certainly that's why Avacta's sp is up 11% today. ODX will start marching forwards as soon as there's a hint that we're making it, assuming we are. Which is a very strong possibility.
Some govt official has previously mentioned end of May for these lft's. If you don't need the money then just wait imo.
Everyone's interested but early May is now the next target for CE mark. If going by the usual late timelines, we can probably expect that in June or July. AS mentioned coming months so I don't think much will happen with that test for at least a month or two.
Governments are no different to big football clubs. Will they buy the top striker and how much are they prepared to pay? Does the striker fit the team? How is the relationship with the current club? Avacta have the best striker, now can the deal be done and does it fit the overall plan? Transfer window must be closing soon. Exciting times ahead whatever happens.
Is no-one interested in Avacta's test then? 100% sensitivity from infectious people and 98% vs PCRs. Ready by early May. I wonder whether Johnson will have something to say about it tonight at 5pm. More importantly I wonder whether we will be producing it from our government contract?
I'm guessing today's big pest of the day is Twatcher because I can see that quite a few people are engaging with him. Fair enough. We already know that this strange man took the trouble to share data from Twitter last year, that had been doctored to distort the views of Liverpool City council from 'very positive' about the lft pilot to a negative view. So he thinks he's an arch manipulator. He was caught out pretty much immediately. And continued to protest his innocence to this board for hours and hours. I've filtered him because it's better for my blood pressure. But I guess it's good that people challenge him if you can be bothered. As has also been suggested, constant, repetitive posts can be reported for being disruptive and LSE should take his posts down.
Wondering whether to jump in again with the rest of my ISA allowance? Lol. You are all meant to jump in at this point and say: 'No Tricky, you greedy barsteward!
Leave some for the newbies!'
