"However when you compare it to just this single tender awarded to Innova Medical, for 713,500,000 tests
https://bidstats.uk/tenders/2022/W03/767033760"
You're conflating the tender for 713.5m tests with the contract awarded to Innova, which was for only a portion of those 713.5m tests.
You may wish to make sure you get your facts right before sending here, there and everywhere...
Far more than that were purchased. The 713.5m tests you refer to is just one of the framework/DPS tenders awarded in September 2021 - it doesn't include all the tests purchased from March 2020 - September 2021.
The overwhelming majority of the tests purchased were from two companies, one of which was Innoova.
This is what I sent them back.
Thanks for taking the time to come back to me on this issue.
20 million tests produced by Sure Screen supported by Omega Diagnostics sounds really positive.
However when you compare it to just this single tender awarded to Innova Medical, for 713,500,000 tests

Who are based in California and produce tests in China, which are banned in the USA as being dangerous
https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/safety-communications/stop-using-innova-medical-group-sars-cov-2-antigen-rapid-qualitative-test-fda-safety-communication
You can see the government support for UK industry is just 2.8% compared to the support given to this American company.
This is based on just one tender, which lasted between the 17 Dec – 31 Jan. Innova have been awarded over £3.5 BILLION yes that’s BILLION worth of contracts for LFT to date.
Quickly doing some research on Omega Diagnostic, shows that the UK government have actually cancelled their contract to produce LFT in Scotland on 9th December, choosing instead to keep buying in Chinees tests, as illustrated by the above tender.
I think the contents of this letter is more party politics in nature rather than a truthful reflection of the situation.
I hope my research above is of interest and helps to keep you and Sir Peter better informed of the situation.
Innova have now nicked close to £4B from the U.K. for Chinese LFT’s and the DHSC are chasing Omega for £2.5M after shafting them, you couldn’t make it up
713,500,000 were purchased - staggering and all as far as I can see Chinese. https://bidstats.uk/tenders/2022/W03/767033773
Any yet after all the bad press about poor Chinese tests, the FDA's advice to chuck the Innova tests in the bin, the support for British Biotech LFT companies, here we are yet again buying Innova.............You couldn't write it. SCANDALOUS
I have again written to various MP's, those that have a voice at PMQ. Sickened by this inept totally corrupt Government. This is treason!
