@avastar: "ODX would of course cry foul, DHSC took the equipment from them to donate to a competitor. As has been done to death on here they could have been asked to manufacture any number of tests over the past year and anyway their own test is pending CE marking for self-test."
Have you missed what actually went on ? Mologic failed PD, no other test owner was willing to license to the DHSC,(Because they we happy to pay over the odds for test supplies), so what exactly was the DHSC supposed to "ask" ODX to manufacture, they couldn't secure a test !!!
The bottom line is that ODX should have been all over the Mologic/Visitect failure at PD like their lives depended on it (because it did!), but they were happy to "not be involved" and were gullible enough to believe the DHSC could secure the IP for a test.
Big clue as to jag….big jocks mate.
i strongly suspect colin was pushed. the bod realised it was either him or the lot would go. hence his scapegoat comment just before xmas. a comment which did not do him any favours either - taking responsibility for blowing everything is not being made a scapegoat. he was in charge...he got the big bucks...buck stopped with him
there was a poster before xmas who said about local low level staff - it was very polarising but i did agree with much of what he said. odx was a tin pot company just ticking over pre covid. covid would probably have put them out of business but they were lucky to fall on some covid tests. however it is clear that they were not professional enough to capitalise on anything - other than the underhand director selling of shares at top dollar..
unfortunately without an introduction we can only guess on what kind of cloth jag is cut from. at some stage he will either need to raise his head above the parapet or release some news. The longer radio silence goes on the more the bod should become more vulnerable. there is no point replacing colin if you are not going to get anybody better.
i have looked on medlab site - couldn't see them down as exhibitors. howeever there was a twitter photo of them with a small poster looked a bit s*te really - compared to the big boys suites!...sign just talked of food tolerance. so clearly that is the mission out there. however could be a good market for the affluent middle east if they can sell something. fingers crossed
ODX would of course cry foul if after everything that has just transpired (including their own CEO's head rolling) the DHSC took the equipment from them to donate to a competitor. As has been done to death on here they could have been asked to manufacture any number of tests over the past year and anyway their own test is pending CE marking for self-test.
"Donating the equipment to Surescreen would open up such a toxic can of worms surely even the hamfisted DHSC Whitehall clowns would flinch from that."
And realistically the only company that would call foul on "State aid" if the DHSC donated the equipment to Surescreen would be ABDX, and with them currently on the other side of just such a case how would that look for them.
Without the Mologic / Visitect test being approved for Self use, it makes no sense for the DHSC not to give the equipment to Surescreen and look to reduce their per-test cost by recovering a charge.
"Donating the equipment to Surescreen would open up such a toxic can of worms surely even the hamfisted DHSC Whitehall clowns would flinch from that."
So rather than,
"We originally boosted three UK companies with equipment, but two couldn't get a test to manufacture, so we have concentrated our efforts on the one company that can deliver, and we will purchase from this government supported UK diagnostics company until the end of the need."
You think
"We originally boosted three UK companies with equipment, but two couldn't get a test to manufacture, so we have sold £17M of equipment for £1"
Sounds a better narrative from the DHSC?
"HE WAS PUSHED..............."
I am sure he was pushed, but i don't think by the Chairman or anyone else on the senior management team, My opinion is the pressure from his investors was too much for him.
I know that i was copying large sections of posts from here on a daily basis to him, trying to spur him into some action, and twitter was no less cutting on their comments.
The guy was a useless idiot who lied through his teeth, and wasn't sharp enough to deal with the sharks at the DHSC, and that combination ended up with the ODX shareholders getting burnt.
Looks like Jag hasn't got a plan either,(or that plan seems to be hide and hope it goes away), all the ODX management team are not really PLC management material, they are small town kids that tried to mix it with the big boys and got an almighty slap for their (or our) trouble.
Donating the equipment to Surescreen would open up such a toxic can of worms surely even the hamfisted DHSC Whitehall clowns would flinch from that. Nope, sell it to ODX for a peppercorn, defuse any legal rumblings (assuming ODX's lawyers are actually doing something) and have two UK suppliers. Win win.
HE WAS PUSHED...............
Comp
Colin was on £200,000 a year - how that salary was justified I’ve no idea ?
Big $$ in Alva , am not sure he jumped and walked away from £200k p/a plus the fact a non exec went same time ?
"Donate it to China?"
its appears that Surescreen will be the prime candidate to become the UK's long term supplier of Covid-19 antigen test, more than likely they are prepping a corner of their massive new premises to take the equipment from ODX and GAD.
iv) Actions to force the DHSC to remove their equipment or pay through the nose for ODX to house it
... or to force the DHSC to 'sell' it all to ODX for £1. What else is the DHSC realistically going to do with it? Donate it to China?
Hard to believe that the new CEO,just waiting for Good news, l believe Colin would have waited ? Looks like Colin , for whatever reason he walked, There Silence is shocking from the so called leader, He does not know what to say, only hope is a clear out, So they are likely to sell the company cheap and they walk.
"The Chairman has probably needed Jag’s vote help to kick Colin and the non exec director hence we didn’t go to the market."
I don't think Donkey was pushed, i think he bailed due to the pressure.
Not sure Jag will be making much of an impact, and looks to be hiding from the sh itshow that ODX has become. perhaps he's waiting for some good news, but if we have learnt anything from ODX in the last 2 years its that good news seems to be few and far between when it has to be backed with some substance.
Realistically I think most were hoping to hear from the new man, that he was steadying the ship.
i) Actions to address the regulator delays (and not simply "its out of our control")
ii) Actions to address the DHSC demand for £2M
iii) Actions to address the company spend and reduce overheads
iv) Actions to force the DHSC to remove their equipment or pay through the nose for ODX to house it
v) Actions to address the shareholder sentiment (perhaps sacking Wallbrook)
vi) Actually recognise the issues that have taken place with the company in the last 2 years and set out a plan to address
v) Any commercial progress on any front?
But we get silence other than telling us that they are off to Dubai for a jolly.
Somewhere back in Jan 2020 they must have had a plan to push the SP close to 30p (based on the EMI options targets for Donkey, Kieron and Jag), so let's dust that off and take a look at his proposals.
Comp,
Don’t think anyone can argue with your post, fully agree about us PI’s and our posts .we have been well and truly ‘kippered ‘ by the BOD , they were the ‘ super rampers’
The tweet below says it all
It’s a lesson learnt by myself and I guess many more?
Re The New CEO, the Chairman ideally should have managed both roles and advised the market they were out looking for the best available candidate, as such we just don’t know if Jag is the best CEO for Omega, it’s not been tested.
The Chairman has probably needed Jag’s vote help to kick Colin and the non exec director hence we didn’t go to the market.

@jubblylane: The big issue with ODX hasn't been the PI rampers/derampers, its been the company itself, Just plain lies and half-truths put out via twitter, when we now know everything was turning to sh it, Most people understand that people posting on twitter or message boards have their own opinions, but when the company releases news, most expect it to be true and accurate.
Realistically any company that puts out "This April we will deliver 2M tests a week" and then delivers none, should be subject to multiple criminal investigations, I was surprised the Donkey lasted as long as he did, Kieron took his cash and ran, and Wallbrook should never be allowed to operate again.
were/are the derampers worse? - both as bad as each other, but some of the ramping, from clueless nobwits like Big Jock was criminal. A lot of people have lost a lot of money here, and with virtually no chance of getting it back, and whilst people should always do their own research, I can see why some got suckered in, especially when they believed the nonsense that Big Jock came up with, and even worse, the utter drivel that Shredz tweeted on occassion
That wasn't me I've never ramped a price unlike several people on here and you derampers are worse
djframboise, he of the "you are on zeee list", recently refered to ODX as a dog and today "looks grim", you list needs updating with your own name.
He’s probably just gloating at the rampers who said it would soon be back to 40p.
Novice-People like you are beyond words gloating at people losing money
Oh dear what have we here, well done those that bought in this week looking like it will close in the 10’s…
I might consider averaging down but only based on something substantial -approvals, orders. Looks grim at the moment but sentiment can move fast. More wishful thinking at the moment but not much we can do. keep mailing your MP's.
GLA DJF
When they eventually ask for money rights issue or private placing could you give it to them.? The performance of the whole management team has been awful, its not just the CEO's need to just live and learn, l dont expect to recover my losses here, not with this management
not missing colin
but jag would seem to be "missing in action". the price has halved since xmas - huge drop on colin leaving. if ceo cared about shareholders he would have come out and introduced himself. did a media interview. instead more radio silence.
tbh if ceo does a good job it does not matter if he cares about shareholders - so he gets the benefit of the doubt for now. however if he is going to hide and does not produce the goods....i think the whole bod need going at AGM
