Maybe Mike Ashley may make a bid
I have my doubts with GKSD, I suspect if they mount a takeover it would have to be a leveraged buyout and we already know NMC is highly levered. A leveraged buyout may make it financial unviable unless GKSD can find opperational efficiencies somewhere and they'll know that. The best chance is with Mubadala and a debt restructure.
Only 2 that can save nmc. Mubadla + gksd. Or just mubadla. Ppl keep saying 0p. Im sure the guys at the top with $600 million in dont see 0p. Im sure Claremont doesn't see 0p. Im sure itl open around 600p rise 50% and il sell up around 900p and end this nightmare of shares forever.
Agree Totalquant
You have Gksd either with or without UAE
UAE on it's own
Cleremont
Rasmala are small fry. I can't imagine they have the financial backing for a takeover. A minority stake perhaps.
Ithmar is not looking at taking over. They've been instructed to look after the share ownership of the Bhuttis, so that they can take a passive approach to their holdings.
@Dogger - so including Rasmala, there are actually 4 now. I totally forgot about Ithmar and it’s 9% stake in the company.
GK, Mubadala and Ithmar?
Yes, NMC ADR is indeed trading in the US. Seems like market likes the fact that things are becoming clearer as Freeh is going through stuff and with 3 takeover bidders interested, things could turn around fairly quickly here! IMHO this will open up when it comes out of suspension in April.
Are you saying it is trading in US???
Pathetic price was £25 in December
So up to £6.92. Great !!!
NMC ADR up 21% in the US right now!! Something is going on behind the scenes, if everything gets sorted over the next few weeks, new CEO, takeover bid etc., this could easily Open 50% up when it comes out of suspension.
