Good morning all,
Thanks for your views chaps, much appreciated.
I'm a long term holder of this stock and unfortunately i have an average purchase price of 953.
I was hoping the run up to the ex-div date would allow me the option to sell at a profit with the safety net of the high yield dividend pay outs if don't .
Not the best of strategies i know but live and learn.
CSDI / sedi. I am always keen to read your posts and i am grateful you both commented with your views. Please keep posting.
Have a good day.

However I am happy with excellent dividend pay outs
Hi Jed,
You ask for any views - so here goes !
I hope you do well but think you leave little room for error by buying here near the top of the range over last 52 wks.
I've recently sold out at 897p mid April, so missed out at least another 4% profit on my short term trade.
For me I would wait for a pull back towards 850p before repurchasing.
you probably need to be nimble and prepared for big drop on ex-div date - so time to assess first.
Most big divis result in bigger drops, as I've found this year with BATS, GSK and IMB in particular. Whereas last weeks ex div with POLY of 4% was greeted with a rise in gold and the SP went higher on the day - so you never know for sure !
Of course, if you are happy to sit and hold forever you will have a nice divi, and a possibility of capital growth.
A number of posters are frustrated with the slow movement in SP, but that's not an issue if you have a lot of patience.
For traders it can be a curse as funds can be tied up for a long time.
Each to their own and good luck
Cheers - CSDI
Well done and good luck to you.
Well, last year's interim divi was 16.57p and this year's interim was 17p, an increase of 2.5%. last year's final was 32p. If this year's final will increase 2.5% as well then it will be 32.81p. will see if I am correct or not when the final results are out.
Topped up today @926. Really hoping for a run with this share ahead of the final dividend in the coming weeks.
I expect a dividend of somewhere around 32.3p per share.
Any views ?

The SP was kind of a struggle all day but good to see it holding onto the 930p mark. Perhaps tomorrow will be better. GLA
No follow up, it finished the day red. Can't say I am not a little bit disappointed....
Well, let's see what next week will bring then.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone....
What a boring , lovely share to own !
First time NG has gone up more than 2% for a long while, wonderful!!
Yes, it's back up but seems that the SP movement is very likely to do another 'n' style again........lol
Ooops, not blue anymore, oh my!..... let's see if it will come back again tomorrow then.
....920p is broken. Let's see how far can it go this time. Will it get to £10 in the coming week(s)? Let's hope so.
Good morning all. The FTSE 100 is currently up 43 points. It's very likely to see NG going up more today. So, good luck to everyone.
It's a good day today compared to the general markets and we are revisiting 915p again. Will this continue tomorrow? Well, let's hope so.
Lol, me too I have been busy of selling and buying these days. I have got rid of GSK and RDSB totally. I was so fed up with them and now don't hold them anymore. Also sold Poly. I bought BP, DLG and GSF instead. The latter two will be snails I am sure but they won't go down like crazy and pay great dividends. I hope that I have done the right thing......hehe
Well, let see what tomorrow will bring. The weekend has been too long and I am getting bored of waiting for action.
Have a great evening my friend. Talk again soon.

(Sorry for the off topic everyone)
Hi Sidi
Yes I'm in same boat as fully invested too.
Got a few more shares than normal atm (14 in total) with 13 in the red zone - ouch.
Now got the p/f split into 2/3 for trading and 1/3 as HY/LTH. 3 of my old shares are in the LTH and trading parts -these are GSK, IMB and RDSB. Still waiting on divis from IMB and GSK from weeks ago too, but expect these to be sorted shortly now.
Lots of ex-divs coming up this month with POLY on 6th, AVST & RDSB on 13th, CEY, GSK, TSCO on 20th and IMB to be announced. Need a little surge to get some of these into profit, as I've been busy clocking up 13 sales last month, with 12 at a profit, but all just very small bits and pieces.
I've been cutting my GSK from 20% to 10% over the last 3 months and decided to invest that elsewhere. Sometimes it helps to reduce the overweight ones if they are not performing. all a bit risky as you never know, but aren't all shares saddledwith risk ? No guarantees in this game.
GL my friend - cheers - CSDI
Hey CSDI my friend, good evening. Good to hear from you. Hope that you are having a great weekend.
Yes, it would be nice to see NG staying up and go up more in the coming week(s), about time for this old dinosaur to wake up, lol.
Thanks for your recommendation but I am fully invested. No more spare cash to buy another share. Can only sit back and watch now. Unless I reduce my holding in VOD when the price is right or wait for dividend pay days....... hahahaha!
Take care my friend and good luck. s_i_d_i
Hi s-i-d-i-
The chart looks like it is trying to break out and up, so good luck.
I sold at 897 a couple of weeks ago, and put proceeds into BATS @2695.
Will be interesting to see which gives the best result.
I've found a couple of nice quarterly divi payers in the REIT sector.
So if you are after more income, AEWU pays about 8% and SUPR a little over 5%.
Not sure if these are suitable, but I have small position in AEWU after recently selling for a 13% profit in a month, and repurchasing @ current SP. currently not holding SUPR, but sold recently and put proceeds into similar theme with TSCO.
Just ideas for you to look at if of interest, but not as any recommendation.
Cheers & GL my firend - CSDI
This is the second biggest holding of my portfolio. It will be nice to see the SP revisit £10. Can this upward trend continue after the long weekend? Let's hope so. Good luck everyone and have a weekend.
UBS upgraded today to Buy from Neutral. Still a great twa div yield to 18/8
One of my best risers of the day for change and back to profit after a long wait. Long may it continue.....phew!!
