Are you still on about this ?
I thought the whole point of this tech was that it was facile, proven, a guaranteed way to avoid the normal risks of drug development ?
Delivering anything to the lungs has inherent risks far above oral and even injectable medicines
It’s a great way to deliver things, but if it were that easy many drugs would go that route.
By the time it’s done - IF - it were successful the market will have moved on .
Exactly what data will this trial provide in terms of data that will allow a deal to be done and or more cash raised ?
What are the end points ? Any thing clinical - anything at all ?
If the trial won’t help raise more cash and or do a deal, given the increasingly difficult market conditions you’re just spending money for the sake of it.
Thanks for the info guys, it fills in some gaps. And the formulation work is clearly still v important for fine tuning 002 & 004 as test results come in. Alex got dealt a tough hand with his NFX employment timing, if we get JV results from 002/004 hopefully that will help him (& us) out.
Do you indeed...
I know for certain JH does nothing for the company
Alex is still employed, he and JH do all the formulation work.
Thought Alex looked after the lab is he still employed? When the CRO test is contracted there will be a point of contact to deal with the CRO, thought it might be Jo, with Dan the same on bus dev.
Its less management, we need a company leader to represent the company internally & externally. Thats why we have always had one as either Chairman or CEO - no matter how small we were. As do essentially all other companies regardless of size, its a point of focus particular for third parties.
Does Alex monitor the CRO tests?
1 staff and 2 consultants.
Don't forget little Alex who's doing the work.
Jiving my point was Chairmen and ceos are necessary to manage boards/ companies of a size where it is necessary, you don’t need them where there are 2 directors and no staff
Soup agreed we dont urgently need two figureheads, but we need 'a company leader' and realistically every company has at least 1. For the last 2 (post Dan) years we have had a single leader for probably more than half the time - a single executive chairman, or CEO (no Chairman). Its a more esoteric corporate governance issue about dividing Chairman & CEO, which is not the issue here.
CEO I can see the point of, but Chairman is mostly old hat and for large boards. Most companies don’t benefit from having one.
And Mars to represent a Chairman is way way more than sitting at the head of a board table. It is the key strategic & organisation position - internally & externally . Summary as below:
To provide leadership. ...
To ensure the Management Committee functions properly. ...
To ensure the organisation is managed effectively. ...
To provide support and supervision to the chief officer and senior team. ...
To represent the organisation as its figurehead.
Mars if you look at my company history you can see that the roles have been formally filled promptly after each resignation. It is possible to dismiss every job from President to dustman as 'just a title' but the existence of a formal corporate structure, including these named roles, is a constant across companies large & small - and one we have adhered to in the past. You mention 'team' again I am eager to hear who the team is & how they intend to fill their roles & for how long.
The market clearly shares my view that we are still awaiting RNS1 - we trade at little more than our cash & the value of our listing as a shell. Our 'precious' intellectual property seemingly has no value. This is extremely important to us as our Lanstead monthly payments are so closely correlated to the share price - the failure of our ghost Chairman & CEO to stand up & be counted is literally costing us money.
Jiving the titles Chairman and CEO are just labels and are necessary when you have several executive and non exec directors ie Chief executive gives you a clue, when there is more than one executive director. Same goes with the Chairman you don’t have to vote at every board meeting which director is going to sit at the head of the table. We have 2 directors and 2 advisers not complicated what is important is there is enough resource to do the job properly, plan, make decisions and implement and communicate. If the team decide they do not have enough resources first decision has to be to get another body.
I recognise that all investors, particularly LTH, are in a predicament caused by our managerial woes. People have different experiences & expectations and I appreciate other peoples perspective, even if its not one I entirely share. I am always happy to engage fruitfully with genuine investors, but not with obvious spoilers & shorters.
Mars, I agree with many of your points. RNS 2 that arrived yesterday was a welcome positive appraisal of 002 that had been sorely misrepresented by Riddell’s last missive on 30 May. Sadly it had almost no effect on either the share price or volume yesterday, contrary to Friday’s anticipatory trading.
1. The key problem was RNS 2 arrived before RNS 1 - the sequence was wrong & the positive impact of RNS 2 did not occur & is now sadly wasted. Shareholders & the market are awaiting RNS 1. We have been waiting for RNS1 for exactly 4 weeks now - this is the vital announcement of the identity of our new Chairman & the key executive director. Who are they, how long will they serve (interim or permanent) ? I would assume they would be part time, as many have observed there is currently no genuine full time role. Their identities should be accompanied by an explanation of how the structure will work until sufficient test data is accumulated to begin the process of marketing to potential partners (presumably late 2022/early 2023). That would seem the point interim’s could hand over the permanent’s and resources & potential would be such a new CEO/BDD could be hired.
2. It seems at present these roles are being filled on a ‘ghost’ basis, by individuals carrying out much of these roles but not actually being prepared to stand up & be counted as the ‘actual’ Chairman & executive director. Julian Gilbert seems to be our ghost Chairman & Dan Gooding appears to be out ghost CEO/BDD. Of course even these ghost roles cannot be acknowledged and largely have to be assumed. And no, thats clearly not acceptable to long suffering shareholders as per my post above, or to the stock market given our horrific share price, that sadly did nothing with the release of RNS 2.
3. We have an AGM conveniently coming up - where if our minimal management requirements have not been met, gives us the potential to influence/determine our future Board & management structure.
You never know the website might stay up to date now, the most basic thing AR could've done but didn't
They've finally removed AR from the website now.
If the bod with their advisers can continue to perform at the level of the first s/h communication then I wonder what additional contribution can be made. There are 2 jobs, develop the products and sell the products, there is no internal business to run. A small team can be effective, sometimes a larger structure although may seem stronger is just inefficient and excessive. A chairman will chair a meeting a ceo will ask the bus dev guy has he sold it yet.
You're quite right Mars, we don't want another deadhead running the company further into the ground. What we do want is a board that looks solid and gives confidence to both investors and potential partners alike. Someone who start pushing the value back to a reasonable level.
If we stay as we are the price will remain depressed and we will remain vulnerable to a cheap takeout.
Do you really want to achieve nothing more than take all the risk by funding these products to the point where someone else is tempted to take them into private ownership for a pittance? I don't.
Thanks Soup, I'm glad they've fixed that.
I have not seen any notification that we have a new team Mars - who are they and what roles do they play ? It's not about 'personalities', it's about understanding how they intend to proceed given our Chairman & 'executive' just quit. Who is our 'team' & who is going to play those roles even temporarily, we had answers to those key questions after previous board/management changes, we need them now.
Was going to say companies House updates, getting everything in order
