Not talking it down , just saying my oppion
Same as when you said it would drop like a stone after going down past 192 I suppose Starbucks?
“I’m a great believer in the fundamentals, so won’t be talking this down”
You do know people can see your post history right?
Well, somebody is expecting it lol, someone just got 648k shares
There won't be a dividend here this time.
It makes no sense to pay one , in this covid economic climate.
Know body knows how long this will go on for. Will there be a second wave are we stuck with it long term.
Even after lockdown social distance will still be in play , so what effect will.thay have on fundamentals.
I think there could well be alot of money in for the dividend and they might just pull the profit out instead, after such a good rise . Imo
As others have said, they were probably better off announcing either a divi cut with the stated new divi amount or a removal of the dividend all together instead of leaving it the way they did.
Im sure there is some level of price fall or increase based on what the divi action is but hopefully should be small either way.
Its still tiny in comparison to the share price recovering, this thing didnt just fall from the 400-450p highs, it was also on a trajectory over the last few years, so this is not just a recovery stock but also a growth stock. Compound this with the low oil price, the fact that they are still getting some level of revenue even in this lockdown, we have a long way to go yet.
I am not sure if any competitors have been knocked out in the process which would give NEX more market share once everything is back to normal but that is one to think about to.
The current climate makes paying a divi problematic- does NEX want to stand out? Becoming a whipping boy for the media? governmental pressure may also be applied as now is not the time for people to be seen making money I feel.
Wasn't what I bought in for, personaly and it's also new territory, having a divi' that is.
So not really that bothered either way.
But 512m X 0.1119p = £57,292,800. Quite a chunk of money in this climate.
Would rather them get the sp back up to where it was previously.
That would be more than enough reward for me. tbh.
Its coming up soon so they are pushing it for time if they are going to cancel it.
Maybe no news is good news?
What's everyone's thoughts on the dividend? Most companies are suspending theirs and I would be very surprised if NEX don't follow suit.
