Porky9, the investor meeting is programmed for the 18th not the 17th.
We need A RNS as to whats going on. Glad Rolly is doing OK today along with others otherwise Iwould be tearing my hair out
120 days ago is 7th Apr
We were informed about the dispute on 9th Apr
Don't know John because don't know when negotiations started - another don't know
sell winning stock... I did that with evr to gkp... never again
Covid thanks...will stay there, as I m making money with RR and may buy one, one day
Kaeren when is the 120 days up ?
Amers,
As much as we need buyers, never sell your winning stock to support your losing one. That goes for any stock!
One in the hole is worth two in the bush... or something like that.
To All do you guys/girls think it's good idea to sell my RR to avg down here or stay in RR
Amers - let us have any good news, you may be holding
#nonewsisgoodnews
Kaeren - just tell them to shove the finger in the BUM, don't go around the bushes.!!!!
Contract disputes are commonplace and it should be easy , both parties signed and one party is in the wrong. So shove your finger pointing where the sun doesn't shine. Perhaps G.M won't negotiate , as i said yesterday, perhaps he is always right.
Is today the day we finally get the last short squeeze before a rally. lets hope so, because we are all sick to death of this price action this year
53.83% down, FFS, let us have any good news, you may be holding
311 & falling with good old Karen is going to sort it out after banging on how easy & amicably this dispute would be sorted
Perhaps its not a buy out at all, just mismanaged shambles that hasn't been discussed here because all non positive points have been crushed in a hope of holding the SP up
Some of these ideas are complete fantasy.
There is no way the CEO walked away because he didn't want a takeover, with any such deal he would be extremally well rewarded also with a future earnout on top or a golden parachute.
The new CEO is not a big pharma pawn.
My one concern is that I think the CEO massively screwed up with DHSC, that is why he was pushed IMO. They said that had a conducted an extensive search for a new CEO, that process takes months so it was decided that he had to go soon after the dispute issues. If the dispute was a slam dunk argument then I very much doubt the CEO would have been changed.
All IMO, but Occams Razor and all..
Having said that whatever the situation is with the DHSC that should be more than priced in, so any resolution whatever the cost you would think would be positive on the SP.
It's very difficult to remain positive when the price is on its arse everyday. It is however easy to use common sense on valuations. It could be twice this price and still be hugely undervalued on fundamentals, so whilst we may feel like tearing our hair out each day, it is a classic hold and add strategy here, funds depending of course.
Naewise , I do not expect to see directors buying as that would amt to insider trading , so the lack of it does not indicate to me anything. I would certainly want to be involved in decision making impacting the future of the company and have written to Novacyt asking when D.A will join , not the date he becomes CEO. I think we will see a very different news flow once he is at the helm. He must as a marketing expert be holding his head in his hands. He will want a clean slate and not to be associated with ANY issues and I strongly suspect we will learn the good bad and ugly within weeks of him taking over. Sp drop today unwarrented , nothings changed imo.
@Bugs14 - 'GM disagrees with a takeover, decides to bow out and Big Pharma places its pawn as CEO'. Perhaps not far from the truth. A TO would not necessarly be a bad thing and a large Phara would carry far more clout and have more prestige -- they would certainly been held to account for the collapse in the SP and heads may have rolled. Many shareholders here, like me, will be hoping this is the case as it appear the only way for many of us to perhaps claw back our losses. I do not believe a DHSC settlement will restore full value to shareholders.
So this presentation is to "....focus on providing further background on the Company's operations and growth strategy, as updated in the announcement on 22 June 2021.....
Surely the strategy can NOT be planned or implemented until we know what the outcome of the DHSC dispute.
especially given "....Novacyt remains focused on M&A to supplement these initiatives...."
We could be talking + or - £100m or so depending on the Dispute. That will dramatically affect the sort of acquisition targets
NCYT aim at, which surely will affect the planned growth.
So does this mean we will have news of the before the meeting? Or are they lamely going to say well these are our plans but it kinda depends on what happens !!!
@ naewise
If they, the Board have some news which is not very good, and impacts the business, we are told here that they need to share by way of an RNS. There has been no RNS to this effect. Not sure what is going on, other than it is very frustrating.
Temuchin,
Randox haven't been dropped they are still very much active with the DHSC. £383 mill since Jul 2020 and £24.8 mill for June 2021.
Expect some changes by end of September. In my view companies will want to be bigger and better by then, by way of takeovers or mergers as Boris and co have their institutional fairs to promote uk companies or companies with a uk presence to the uk institutional investors in October. This is a lot of money at stake, at present only 20% of these type of funds are from uk.
The same thought crossed my mind K. What game are they playing? It's extremely odd to have this meeting when the new CEO will not be in position for a couple of months and we will have no idea of HIS hopes and aspirations so some answers to our questions may have to be taken with a pinch of salt. Strange also why more directors are not taking advantage of the floundering SP. One cannot but help thinking they are holding something back and it may not be the good news we hope for. Unlike some others, I do not have complete faith in this BOD.
