Taverham, you've answered your own question. Why not buy more? Too much uncertainty here and it doesn't look like any change in that anytime soon.
So we all have three choices, buy , sell or hold and nobody is forcing us either way. Lots of uncertainity depresses the sp , so why not buy more?
@Porky
Just looked out of the window and saw a flying pig -
any relative?
SP=£12....another dream
Whilst I remain fully invested and positive about what the future could hold, some people need to take of their rose tinted glasses and just admit that this situation has been handled deplorably by the BOD and GM. To the markets, announcing a three month hand over during such a time is viewed as a vacuum, simple as that. To state otherwise is to be disingenuous.
OMG... just 5% down this morning already surely even you Porky must admit that your purchase yesterday was a mistake never mind all the other buys you have made from £12.00 down to sub £3.00?
No Vacuum
There is an experienced and established BOD in place plus an experienced management team and GM is still supporting the company through to hand over.
It was alway going to drop first thing, could easily get a rebound later.
Please Graham if you have any Honour or Decency go voluntarily and humbly now your presence is tanking the SP
You are much better off than you should be and the people who have given your company the resources to pay you and survive our on their knees financially you must see that and now you add insult to injury by not having Any and I mean any hard positive financial factual information to explain are you selling any if the product that you do easily bum and blow about or did the DHSC discover your product to be fundamentally flawed and no one else is buying
You owe us all some honesty before you go over the weekend and allow anyone with capability to try to fix your mess
If you keep playing with shareholder by delaying 2 weeks for investors meeting , at which you say you will not answer any substantive answers just to get you closer to your pay day in October you are simply immoral and if in the USA you would be held in contempt and all bonus removed in a class action by shareholders . Are you a e secret politician by any chance who just like the test line your pockets at the fcoence if the poor people
I would simply ask do the right thing now and leave pkease to give the company and your employees a chance of survival recovery , which is getting more remote every day you stay ,
Penny, I believe they had listen all those MAGNIFIC predictions here of £20 - £35 and finally the BEST £54
I'm not sure if all NOSTRADAMUS still here, I strong believe they sold at £12'ish level...
I would say Mac, if that is the case and it was clear to you?
How come you are still here and not retired with as many (if not more) than Mr Mullis?
Hindsight is so easy?
That having said, it will be interesting to see, where it goes today and we ALL know any spike of say 10-30% from here, will be sold into by the traders, vicious merry go round sadly!
This thread heading by Ade1234 has persisted and suggests a lowering of expectations in itself when many here in the past have made much higher predictions.
This seems a success by a so-called persistent de-ramper in itself and my suggestion would be to concentrate on the merits of the company (of which their many) rather than specific targets which appear to have one aim only, which is to ensure new investors only see limited potential going forwards.
The whole world needs companies and quality diagnostics like those produced by Novacyt and we're not safe till we're all safe.
Carlswinning - You musts be somewhat naive if you believe you are picking up a LFT at Boots for free - I take it you pay taxes or maybe not - the cost of the "free test" will be coming for the DHSC/NHS budget or do you believe otherwise?
@Carlswinning
Wow you are having a right old go at negativity this morning, Jesus.
Look, if they have an utterly sh@t second half, refund 100% to DHSC, don't sell ANY LFT, saliva, totally fck up the new division, completely under perform against forecasts they will still end the year on an EBITDA significantly north of £ 60 million
Its absolutely farcical that its mcap is so far under its fundamental value. People might not want any test to go on a holiday but by God the world needs Bioinformatics another variant lands that gets under the vaccine and we are well and truly screwed.
Companies bringing employees back will care about accurate test otherwise some solicitor will go ambulance chasing, you should have sold in March like you declared you were going to do.
I'm not worried at all. Longer term we only need to be making in the region of £10m profit a year to reach a valuation of about £5 a share. Nothing is certain but it's rather easy to see that be achieved at the very least, the potential to grow into something much bigger than that is also very realistic.
Sure £12 a share will be a challenge but all of us able to take advantage of this low share price don't need to see £12 again to make a healthy return.
Wilson, If is correct. Too competative, tests will be under a pound each very soon. Pound shops will be full of them. Most peoe dont care weather its a cheap test or state of the art as long as they can get on the plane. Like i said for green country travel its up to you now weather you taje a test or not. Borders are not enforcing it and its not law to take a test. Novacyts big chance was to use the 100mill to buy bolt on acusitions and expand into other profitable testing areas. That chance seems to have gone, along with the share price. This was hyped to hell and the smart money left in January.
Carlswinning IF we successfully sell our lft and make one pound for each one how does that seem to you?
Lft market will be horrendously competative with tiny profit margins due to price undercutting. I can walk down to boots and get lft tests for free all be it cheap chineese ones. I am not a deramper, just bitter. Deffinatly dont listen to the rampers on here, they are poison. As for Novacyt they have done absolutly zero to support investors or the share price over the last 8 months and the only winners are the ones that sold at high £11 2 days before the January update. I wonder why they sold??? As i said , Novact are done unless they come out and prove me otherwise. They were a penny stock before covid and they couldent even capitalise on that without fecking it up!!!
Morning Saintsmith it's like turning up at a home game and the away supporters have arrived early and taken over your pub lol.
The absurd share price level has been driven by the vaccination programme, the DHSC dispute, shorting and the companies inability to cope with the combination of those three things. They now have the ability to buy their own shares at bargain basement prices and help protect themselves from a hostile takeover bid that is now getting increasingly likely due to their ignorance of share price workings.
Testing is far from over, and Novacyt will hopefully get a good slice of the LFT market.
The LFT market hasn’t even really started around the world, Novacyt have the sales force and the distribution network to take advantage and capitalise on what will be hugely increasing demand.
PCR is a long way from being over too.
Your money your choice, but don’t listen to the derampers or the extreme rampers, the latter are actually more dangerous for your wealth.
Expecting this to drop again this morning for a short period and then hopefully it will get a small rebound.
Some patience needed, alway darkest before the dawn.
Good luck to the sensible ones.
Testing will continue I agree with that, however NCYT never really got the massive contracts.
Testing will be needed for years to come carlsloosing.
LFT don’t pick up virus mutations or variants of concern .
Jog on looser , this will be back up again and all you nasty little rats will leave this BB soon enough .
There are plenty of researched long termers who know their onions in this board .
If you look at the posting history of some of these shorting posts you will see they generally just post negative comments against stocks they want to take a punt at shorting or spread bets, no regard to what the business is actually doing, its fundamental values or how its trading.
As long as there is some element of uncertainty they jump on it to disrupt
Anyhow they can do what they like. I'm still adding here as there is a value to this company and imo its a value significantly higher than it's current share price. As such at some point this has to right itself.
GLA
Novacyt is done. Thousands of investors, me included have been fleeced. They dont even have the big profits from the hight of the epidemic to reinvest in expension as the DHSC is not going to pay up, and they obviously have a strong case or mediation would have settled it by now. Its starting to look like testing is up to individual choice for travel where a lft is good enough. This will take years and years to return to anything like double figures. I personally think it will be bought out at around £3 per share in around 12 months when the share price is in the low 2's.
