How this has dropped by 4%+ today is unbelievable, the AIm market for you! it is becoming extremely frustrating seeing the continuous decline
Re: Takeover
Strip out the DHSC orders and the significant one to the Ukraine which are unlikely to be replicated anytime soon and a takeover seems extremely unlikely based on the remaining revenues against the price that require to be paid for the shares
Novacyt / Mullis could have given financial ouline of the dispute at the time of anouncment instead of leaving the sp to fester and get manipulated. There has been little SP support and forward guidance and i for one think that without significant news in the pipeline we are done here. I have wasted 8 months and 60% of.my investment on this dog. Id love to bump into the tw*t in a dark alley thats for sure! He gives no f**ks for the millions PI's have lost, and cant afford to lose.
A market by its very definition is just a place where like minded people go to buy and sell a common product. People go to billings gate for fish. To New Covent Garden for flowers etc etc. And people come to AIM with fast money, impatiently chasing a get rich quick dream…and that drives prices.
Market makers know that a huge proportion of AIM participants have absolutely no clue what they are doing and what the fundamentals of a particular business are. As such it is a market driven by sentiment and emotion instead of fact and intellect.
Never seen such a low PE on aim - ever in over 20 years, admittedly historic but it is what it is, they made the money simple as. A move to the main market would deter the scalpers if not just because of the 1% overhead charge.
I think what's p@ssing off the city is that they don't need money, ergo no mates rates placings or convertibles. Basically they've thrown a strop.
Starting to think the only way we get to fair value on this share is a takeover now. There's just no reasoning with the share price movements, impossible to make investment decisions when its yanked around by day traders and technical traders. Lets get it sold to AZN and move on.
vent - I think they eventually will do that when they get a tip off about news incoming.
I'm sure we all agree - after all the effort that GM is putting into building this company I would imagine he will make his move on this as soon as he can and hopefully pull a huge rabbit out the hat and burn the whole lot of them!
If we all feel ****ed off with this, how do you think GM and his senior team will be feeling? The sooner GM gets his flame thrower out the better!
Aim has the highest proportion of small sized, fast money, retail investors of any market globally. Very little sticky money from institutional involvement. That by its very definition drives prices. So you are wrong.
I ask myself a question and cannot come up with a rational answer.
If the price is so cheap and the fundamentals are there, why don't Blackrock and other funds plough in and get the price where it should be.
They are still invested and must be showing quite a lose..correct ?
Soder, I’ll keep saying this until it sinks in. AIM DOES NOT DRIVE THE SHARE PRICE
I think it’s very clear that the aggressive actions of the AIM market spiverati over the last few months have had a profound and lasting impact on novacyt. The market makers insistence to drop it like a rock every day has destroyed investor confidence in this stock for their own gain.
Even when the now published financials and fundamentals scream it’s cheap and buy buy buy there is no follow through bid from real money INVESTORS. Why? The day trader spivs and greed of the market makers have destroyed value for shareholders and investors to such an extent the name is tainted and will take a long long time to recover.
The quicker we can get off this toss pot, dream chasers casino AIM the better.
