thanks for the info Herbier. That is probs the reason it can;t be easily contained, and comes back for the 2nd time. Its bollody scaring investment aside. We had case at our local clinic and all gneral oppointments have been cancelled to the clinic. NCYT will do well, but impact to the wolrd will be lasting.....to all long or short ramp or de-ramp...stay safe guys! and get test on firts sign of cold/flu like symptoms...
Thanks for the plug Van. The Chinese Medical team first reported the reinfection and dramatic fall in antibodies in post viral patients and the fear of reinfection about 2 weeks ago - I was wondering until that point why every government was so paranoid about this disease. It was carried in the SCMP - but the article was redacted within and hour - why - because the only virus I know of like this is HIV - and the expert moderators (not the casuals) had been talking about how the spliced bits in the virus RNA were something that didn't look like SARs but acted similar to thanks to some modified bases and similar for the bit that looked like HIV. The modifications made the proteins generated look more like SARs and HIV proteins in their simulations. This is something of course the bats did - nothing to do with any humans in labs. However, do you get my drift. This virus is a bit like getting HIV and SARs both at once... good job it only has a first pass fatality rate of 2/3%. However we have never faced a flu bug or a cold bug that could reinfect you. this is one ugly monster of a disease, and the facts are in plain site. If you google covid19 reinfection now you can find articles about this - but as far as I know it has never been discussed on TV or radio. It is the elephant in the room. We have never seen a virus like this before - except HIV itself - and rotor virus.
Herbieridesaga (kosh could not use choose an easier handle!) anyways, thats what confusing the chiese and now the americans..../ i guess its becuase its a novel virus! ncyt/primerdesign know that too!....super powers against our tiny ncyt/primerdesign bods! go figure
Reinfection - 2/3% first wave possibly depending on level of infection - but the health workers are dying and this is probably from 2 3 or even more infection events. The virus may just reinfect and reinfect and never leave a community until there is no community to leave - JMHO and not a certainty - but we just don't know.
Sorry Woodstock....it was a weak attempt at humour during these dark times
You only have to look at this board to see the level of idiocy surrounding this whole subject, and we are supposed to be the informed masses
Calling it a ‘winter flu’ really is taking the biscuit...just shows how ill informed and insensitive some people are!
Apparently pets can carry coronavirus. You have probably seen the images of dogs being beaten to death. Probably not a good idea using a sniffer dogs.
A third of coronavirus victims are males aged between 31 and 39 years old. Wierd. I am not into conspiracy theories but Article 21 comes to mind.
If it stinks, maybe sniffer dogs are needed to detect instead of these test kits?
The whole thing stinks. You generally don't have people dropping dead with flu in the high street.
The flu is pretty serious too.
U.k medical policy is flu jab for over 50's and people with various conditions.
Coronavirus seems just as potent, but it's a relatively new virus, so it's got the hop on humans at this moment in time.
Ah that's great news about Mr and Mrs Abel. I bet Mr Abel is looking forward to his glass of whiskey.
This isn't normal winter flu. Do young doctors and hospital directors normally die off with flu in winter like they have done in Wuhan?
I was way out, it's 650000 deaths from influenza illnesses, mental.
Mr and Mrs Abel
I did see something in a daily news feed (might of been Guardian)
He has posted that he is getting better and thankful he didn't need a respirator at one point. Also prasing the medical staff.
They are both in the same room together.
"Alan. I believe the death rate % is a lot higher. We condemn China for censorship but we are just as bad imop."
Are we not also expecting 165000 deaths from regular flu, but my doctor told me to take a week off and have paracetamol and lemsip
Has anyone seen anything in the news about Mr and Mrs Abel that were on Sky news quite a lot ???. I understand they are very ill but any updates???
Alan. I believe the death rate % is a lot higher. We condemn China for censorship but we are just as bad imop.
"2-3% of the population will be wiped out.....mostly elderly and people with underlying conditions (me) ...its called natural selection...happens in the animal kingdom all the time...in the medium to long term it will be good for jobs, business the economy etc...just like war."
If there is a 2-3% mortality rate with regards to the infected populous then much much much less than 2-3% of the population will be wiped out.
I hope you understand that
Humanity has no chance, but the virus has one.
