Agreed.
A lot of Africa, South America, Central Asia haven't Tested/Vaccinated their people yet, so there's a large slice of the global market to trade with.
Would you want to sit on a plane not knowing if the people around you are Negative or not?
Many countries want you to have a PCR test before departure, its not only about what our Government wants anymore.
Booooooom
Lockdown coming, by start of December I reckon, get in at these prices if you can! Covid going to get much worse! Even double jabbed people won't escape as the virus mutates and invades the vaccine......no
It’s true, we know this to be the case, but I’d doubt that’s how NCYT is perceived. I’d guess that the company is predominantly viewed as a PCR Covid stock, hence the hit.
Would be relatively easy to change that perception.
It’s very true that travel is not a huge percentage of Novacyt‘a business, it’s also very likely considering what has been happening over the last 18 months that further lockdowns could happen, despite the government saying they will not do it again, along with that comes PCR testing the most reliable form of test which also shows variants. This situation is not over by a long way in my opinion, governments are becoming far too complacent and it may come back to bite them in the A...
and dont forget you owe me a beer (actually G & T would be better) and as the therapist says....
and breathe :)
FGS
You do get utter pillocks on this chatboard with no sense of grace or civility.
In some ways it doesn’t surprise me if Ncyt are not in tune with shareholders.
Some decent people who post here but OMG it seems to be an invite for those with referred anger issues who enjoy others’ struggles
Shame. It’s they who have the issues and need the real help. I wouldn’t spend my time trawling chatboards for shares I don’t even own !!
This world…

That was 2020, I would imagine they are expected to make up a high proportion of H2 2021 revenue...
Worth a reminder where all their business is coming from (clue - it’s not U.K. travel tests)

56-57% is non Government & a lot outside U.K. or Private Sector, again only a little mention of Travel
“ Non-governmental organisation long-term agreements
Novacyt has entered into a two-year Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with the World Health Organization (WHO) for the supply of its genesig® COVID-19 tests. In addition, the Company has received confirmation from UNICEF that its existing LTA with the organisation has been extended by 12 months to July 2022. To date, Novacyt has shipped orders to a total of eight countries under the UNICEF LTA since September 2020.
Private sector testing
Overall, UK private market sales, which currently includes COVID-19 testing in film, media, travel and corporate industries, increased significantly in Q2 2021 compared to Q1 2021. The Company believes it is well placed to continue to support this growth during the second half of the year.”
