WHO need to buy a lot of testing kits to help some poorer countries,
IMO, they are a very very big potential customer themselves.
Nothing clever insight to add, apart from WOW
The below equipment has been recognised by Primerdesign as being compatible with the companies assay :
Applied Biosystems®7500 Real-Time PCR system
Bio-Rad CFX Connect™Real-Time PCR Detection System
Roche® LightCycler 480 II
Bruker-Hain Diagnostics' GenoXtract® automated nucleic acid extraction device
Bruker-Hain Diagnostics' FluoroCycler XT PCR instrument (in process of being compatibility tested)
Today the World Health Org has EUL listed the same Primerdesign assay.
Many of the worlds qPCR instrument makers will want to make their equipment compatible with Primerdesigns assay.
At least, if it wasn't a high priority before, - it probably is now.
Graham Mullis should have a lengthening list of applicants for compatibility testing.
This situation makes
1 news of UK test kit manufacturing partner
2 Purchase of further materials with which to produce test kits
the number 1 and 2 priority news items in any future RNS.
And I don't think we've too long to wait.
Monumental yes, but surely now is the time for a more formal agreement with one of the giants so that volumes can be seriously ramped up.
This is the wording and key reason why WHO approval is massive worldwide - from the WHO website link - opens up even more markets and "procurement agencies".
The EUL procedure is developed to expedite the availability of IVDs needed in public health emergency situations. It is intended to assist interested procurement agencies and Member States on the suitability for use of a specific IVD, based on a minimum set of available quality, safety, and performance data.
This is monumental news for any business right now. A small Anglo French business right up there with one of the largest a Pharmeceutical businesses in the world.
Two things come to mind!
1. I hope we have stock and production capacity to meet the requirements.
2. One of the large Pharmaceutical businesses will be surely knocking on the door.
The other question is how dramatic will the impact on our share price be.
This is colossal news. Superb find @bladesharp!
Thanks very much.
Cheers RK
Bought back in here on Thurs . Had joined the herd at £1 , saw some rises and falls and exited at £1 , just hadn't researched NCYT enough to be confident . But had to get back in last week as the progress just seemed unstoppable . and its proving so .
Thanks to all the info on here , looking forward to updates . WHO seal of approval great !
IMO, will open at least £2.50 tomorrow,
getting to that point where you don’t want to be out overnight
That is huge news just us and a little company called Roche approved.
You would think they would release an RNS first thing tomorrow to confirm. And throw in the latest orders/sales for good measure. If the growth continues, which it should given all the material ordered, then we’ll be well on our way to £3 this week
Absolutely massive news, it is the biggest tick and endorsement for the test kit you could receive. Will absolutely be rns in the morning, It is probably the biggest tick https://www.who.int/diagnostics_laboratory/eual/procedure/en/
Even more orders off of the back of this surely now and time for the NHS to get the majors GSK and Asta backing us.
Interesting that the only other test is Roche, approved 4 days ago.
RNS and up day tomorrow?
Just a hunch.
Death figures for France and US horrific today. Our figures 80% higher than admitted.
No where near under control, yet.
Boom! I did mention this was to come this morning and wow only the 2nd test in the world. Amazing
WHO APPROVED! PrimerDesign Genesig Real-time PCR assay accepted for procurement through the EUL Procedure for IVDs!!! https://www.who.int/diagnostics_laboratory/200407_eul_covid19_ivd_update.pdf
