Lol Usain. Well said.
Lord Mullis as played this whole thing in a quite understated way all along. I'd rather have that. Some companies make bold claims, kick the can up the road or don't deliver.
There has been some criticism on here at times that the RNSs aren't sexy enough and don't give enough information to forward plan. As long as Lord Mullis and the team know what is going on and keep delivering, I'm happy for the understated approach to continue. Other posters on here have also said it seems quite crass to be talking about huge profits during these times. I don't know if that would come in to the Boards thinking.
As far I'm concerned, NCYT can put meat on the bones when they are ready. The research and development building blocks show that we are not standing still and I would not rule out Lord Mullis dropping something exciting before the year is out.
Sure I'll answer your point CS from my perspective as I'm not attempting to hide from your question:
There are of course two ways of interpreting Graham's comments in the latest half year update. One is the way you're interpreting it which is that the company is hiding behind lacklustre figures for the second half of the year and for that reason are holding sales figures back. If indeed I agreed with you and thought H2 was about the same as H1 I'd sell up now and run for the hills.
The other is the way I'm interpreting it - he's playing it down for sensitivity reasons. There is almost no way that the figures for H1 are in anyway comparable to H2. How do I know this? Well on June 2nd sales and contracted orders were €135m. Now sales for H1 were €72m, which leaves €63m of contracted orders for the second half of the year from June 2nd alone!
That makes it pretty damn obvious that sales will be considerably higher in H2 than in H1 and therefore confirms that Graham is indeed playing it down so as to avoid negative headlines that suggest the firm is profiteering to such a degree from a crisis...
Our Stan, maybe just be a little bit more worried about AVCT than NCYT. AVCT have a mcap 50% higher than NCYT - all that rise is factored in on its game changing test that it announced 6 months ago, and still no sign of it. Boris even said last week that pregnancy style tests were unfortunately not going to be ready any time soon. And as AVCT drag their heels, suddenly there is loads of competition on this style of test coming, GSK Crispr test, Abbotts LFT, Mologic's 15min antigen test - and more than likely NCYT's LFT test coming soon. Unfortunately AVCT's base is built on sand, if the test isn't great the whole affirmer tech becomes more questionable. Of course we need other types of tests, and it won't be all done by PCR, but PCR will be the backstop for all testing as its the most accurate. NCYT have been selling tests now for nearly 6 months, building cash and transforming the company so that it can expand into many other areas of diagnostics. GM outlook as normal was conservative, he is the opposite of AS at AVCT. Under promise and over deliver is what GM has done all along. I hope AVCT does well, I hold a small amount from the 50's, but it seems to me much higher risk than NCYT with less upside and far more downside potential.
Haha, the wind up merchant has returned I see - there is nothing matter of fact about your posts at all. As usual they are a negatively biased assessment which ramble on and make inaccurate points. I find it hugely ironic that someone can criticise the Novacyt comms when you look at what has been produced by other companies in the Covid space.
Winterplex sales could eclipse first half revenues & profits by themselves - what are your thoughts on that innovative & rapidly launched product? Does it make you jealous that Novacyt can actually execute a product release in a timely manner?
Captainstanley it is all about sentiment now. If I were short on this, I would close my position and go long. Can't you see the dust cloud it the distance and the rumble of pounding hooves? A herd of bulls is headed in our direction. Hold on to your golden tickets.
At this point it's obvious that you've got a bone to pick CS and you just won't leave it alone. You were desperate for a 'I told you so' moment and it hasn't come. Novacyt has made steady progress for months now with every chance of a breakout soon and you're trying your hardest to bring some negativity and doubt to the board once again... sadly for you it's not going to happen. However you try to spin it the future looks rosy for ncyt. Over the past three months (when your deramping hit fifth gear) the sp has almost doubled... and it's only going one way. There will likely be individuals on here that panicked due to all your scare mongering and missed out on some very healthy returns...
It's about time you showed some class and accepted that you were wrong.
He actually stated "millions". Whether it's possible in that timescale is debatable, but it does show that the government intention is there.
Chromeinvester I knew it was going to be 500k a day but wasn't aware of the 1 mil a day in that time scale.
Sorry guys a vaccine ? We will not be seeing that for years this is here to stay
Just have to try to live with g this
Wouldn’t be surprised if the sp reaches a minimum £10 by end of year.
Testing will be on a massive scale for at least 4years I think. Many global events such as Olympics 2021 and FIFA World Cup 2022 will require huge testing programs. Novacyte is well positioned to become at minimum a £2 billion valued entity. GLA and hold tight.
I particularly like the interviewee stating that govt plans to increase test to 1m per day by end of October and many millions early next year. Now I wonder what company has new mass testing products being launched and are building up their manufacturing capacity and salesforce?
Minimum of 2 years and don't forget many countries won't have access to the vaccine form many years to come.
I think we can comfortably expect two full years of exceptional covid test sales - not the one we originally thought back in April...
Just listened to radio 5 science podcast where an Oxford professor predicted it will be mid 2021 before a mass vaccine is released. All pointing towards money being thrown into the testing arena. Well worth a listen
