I recently moved my entire holdings out of the USA and tech funds (The North America funds were mainly techs anyway) locked in the profits and moved into Japan funds. Following warren buffet, I donāt see much growth going forward in the USA and risk of a tech bubble burst and reductions after elections make it unattractive from here for me personally
Airlineboy, family are well and my stepson asked me my opinion about 1463p If can be achieve or not.
Let's see how Novacyt will be next week.
I believe my Johnny Walker Blue Label will be soon in my place... lol
Thanks guys
Chocolate, or peanut...
The Locke.
I have a diverse range of funds, not just the Lindsell train global equity.
From Feb 2018, its 35% up!!!
Not bad for a fund. Yes. there are better. My Baille giffords American funds and technology funds are doing well.
Also, Fundsmith equity, similar to Lindsell train.
I took 20% out of my SIPP, to play with shares and see if I could do better.
I only invested in 2 shares after weeks of research. ODX and NYCT.
Doing Good so far.
Here you go, Allen. GL
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/marketmaker.asp
Allan, the MM's or market makers are companies or or individuals that quotes both a buy and a sell price in a financial instrument or commodity held in inventory, hoping to make a profit on the bidāask spread, or turn. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission defines a "market maker" as a firm that stands ready to buy and sell stock on a regular and continuous basis at a publicly quoted price.
Market Maker
Allan mm is market makers the buyers and sellers of all shares.
Sorry as a newbie what is a Mm please
Golferboy.
Interesting you mention Lindsell Train ( global equity fund) .........invested in it 2 years ago and seen a 20% growth.
However I also invested in the two Axa Framlington funds( global technology fund, and the American growth fund ) and they are currently 75% and 73% respectively. Maybe time to cash in what with the US elections imminent. A Biden win will see markets crash imo.
Pressure beginning to build up again. MMās are going to have to let this go. Hold tight
Hi Obelix, all good here thanks, hope you and your family are doing well? Ā£10 is amazing but that's gone now. We are fixed on the next psychological target of Ā£15 and from there? Who knows. Take good care and best regards. Damien
Airline, how are you Mate? I hope You & Family are well.
I can image Dylan's face when He's sees Novacyt price today...
If you & wife tell Him about 1000p I'm sure He'll not open the fridge first... lol
I was going to sell at Ā£10 but changed my mind, on Ā£15 i will think about it.
Good luck all
Iāve got plenty of profit in them so if they did go south Iād pull the rip cord but as everyone keeps saying loads of positive news to come
Kettle
I think it would be a de ramp to say Ā£15.
haha
With everything weighed up and news still it seems a no brainer to hold on to them and re evaluate at Ā£15 maybe
Give me till the end of the month Kettle, when I get my bonus, then I'll take you up on it, lol
Allan
Shares donāt go up in straight lines so there will be loads and loads of buy and sell activity all along the way at different levels. It really comes down to your attitude to risk. If it went south tomorrow could you afford the hit? Nobody ever made a loss taking a profit.
IF you want to lock in some returns you could sell half and then you are almost in for free?
For me Iām holding for at least a year from here, my shares are Locked away win or lose.
What this board needs is a good de-ramper. Any takers ? Lol
Lol Wilson, I'll consult with my young man a bit later to see if he can reassess his price limit!! 901100 is still a pretty good figure in my mind!!! Enjoy the ride up! GLA
We are still undervalued.
So, grow some balls and ride it out.
I researched why the Lindsell train funds were so successful.
Essentially it came down to one thing.
Let your winners run.
This is a winner.
I wont be selling for a long time.
eeekkk ??
Take out the 30% and let it ride, are you a man or a mouse ?.................eeekkkkk I have the same problem!
