I sold my latest holding at £9.93 whilst waiting in the queue at the fish and chip ship the other day when the attack on the SP got going - this of course makes me a "panicker" but one who safeguarded a nice profit and for the first time in my dreadful investment history I now find myself able to buy back more shares for less money. Without doubt I am waiting for the opportunity to buy back here as we all know the fundamentals are excellent but I needed to safeguard my profit after some very bitter experiences with other shares this last year.
Emmex....this is now the only covid stock I now hold. Bought them all in March. All sold apart from this one. Why? Because all too late to make any money out of covid. NCYT was the first and thus the only smaller cap tester to be in now. Look at GDR and ODX results this week. Dire. This is making big money ....but it is still nearly 450p down from the highs. As the charts predicted. Happy to hold here and add....just not yet.
woodies = worries autotype for you.
Triumph should be panicking.
I see you are invested in all the stocks that will be badly affected by worsening covid. Think you have enough of your own woodies to be gloating here.
Makes no sense to none of us really. More covid cases unfortunately, but that means more revenue for NCYT. Its been a brutal few days, but the price action has gone so far into oversold that it's now pointless even following it. Set my alerts for getting back to fair value and just wait now
It seems that everything goes down as markets anticipate new confinements... Everything is down
But I don't really understand why even Covid stocks go down !
It makes no sense to me.
Anyway, Novacyt has not changed overnight, it has still the same potential and is still the same great company with the same great products !
Barnet Pete last time you were posting here you were trying to frighten investors into selling by telling them the pandemic would be over by June . You certainly got that wrong .
Ftse is down 200 points and Dow 900. Meanwhile NCYT is up 150 times on the year. Amazed that anyone thinks this stock can buck the trend with people desperate for cash.
PRB769,
We have both experienced the ease with which MM's can manipulate prices, both now and in the Spring.
It is even easier with only 70million shares in issue I feel, and this won't be the last time drops in the order of 30% have been successful. The more large buyers there are, the more price will tend not to recover before the next large order is filled.
Like sea water entering an erupting volcanic island, news will make a huge difference.
Just Hold, you know it makes sense.
ShaunP, I have been in here from 1.66 with a large holding so every £1 change now is big money but I am hardened at this game and seen it all before. Too many here jumped on the bandwagon for a quick buck on the latter part of last weeks rise. I am confident it will climb to new highs but do they have the patience that you and I obviously have.
Respect for sharing your research with us all btw.
Triumph1 if you look at the first purchase of it-is for 10.1 mil which had 3.6 mil in cash that's a good start, up to now the board have only made tremendous decisions and kept their eye firmly on the target. I await there next acquisition with great excitement.
They'll have to do another stimulus at this rate and then markets may go the other way.
We are in a stock that should benefit if covid gets worse unlike airlines such as Iag etc.
All nonsense, the markets are volatile all over the world this week, large drops on lots of shares. IMO this is reacting the same as most. Just switch off and come back next week when confidence returns.
Its ironic that the panic is over the increase in the pandemic worldwide which ultimately means more testing is required!!
They have a record of doing so to date in making great purchases.
Wilson, 8 out of 10 times for something knocked up in a garage isn't bad....not ready to fly yet obviously, but with more data and a better working shop who is to say this cannot be 10/10 flying 1st class in a relatively short amount of time?
With every release like this and every advancement made, it shaves the daylight hours NCYT have to make hay, therefore risk re-balance will be forthcoming. That's all i am saying. Fair and reasonable assessment don't you think? I have never said a bad thing about NCYT, only about the valuation based solely on one product with competition heating up. How long do you think they can stay on top? Do you trust the management to do something decent with the cash pile at the end of all this? That's what you should be asking yourself.
Had a bowl of soup and missed the bottom
Purchased my usual insignificant number now excuse me a minute.
Triumph1 so if skovachickji airlines sold you a ticket for a tenner would you board when you knew the captain was likely to get to his destination 8 out of 10 times or would you fly with iag who landed 10 out of 10.
Hewhodares I like sng don't hold but they are still verifying their products.
Lastly anybody coming on boards and laughing at some people being unable to hold as they see their money slip away I ask you a question dyou finish your day and tell the family how you laughed at people losing money hmmmmm
Novacyt has decided to move into building theme parks, clubs, pubs, bars, and gyms.
Oh wait, no they haven't, they're still in the very best sector to benefit from covid-19!
Patience has evaporated followed by sense and vision.
Each to their own.
What has fundamentally changed?
AIM mentality lack of patience?
