Seadoc, richken , mcnulty and Stanley were wrong .
WE WERE RIGHT !
Happy we’ve all made a few quiz but even happier that we are supporting the gold standard testing company that will hopefully end this horrible virus .
Happy to accept the comparison elements and do see the link (which I wasn't making) over how that could evolve.
If you read my post history I do also have a dim view on the pricing shout outs which when somewhat wild or 'nuts' do raise an eyebrow.
As an aside if NCYT did boost all the way to £100 I would be beyond pleased and on the phone to beardy branson to buy necker island....
Every cloud.
Rcdm, so if you are saying that at £100 that values Ncyt at £7bn and you believe that is too high then that is fair enough. There was no need to mention AZN at all. It was your comparison that suggested you don’t understand market cap.
In truth I get more irritated at people throwing out price targets without any substance.
I apologise for suggesting you’re a fool.
Thank you.
Ill leave Motley fool to be the fool ideally
Rcdm I supported your point "heat of the battle" I think but it did read the other way your latest post clearly clarifies.
I see the somewhat smartarsed have jumped on MCAP etc, which I didn't actually comment on.
I didnt state NCYT and AZN are the same, but in simple terms to become a massive operator NCYT would, for me, not hit £100 SP as per the original poster indicated. Quite frankly the fool would be the person who assumes that is going to happen.
My point was more the size o f business to get to £100 is 'big'.
All the folk then querying it have taken their own perspectives out of context.
Acuere - touche. I think the fools are the people who have been quick to stick the boot in without understanding the sentiment of my point and instead manipulating it to a conervsation/ viewpoint I wasnt actually making.
Wolverine would you care to add your sales/profit projections and anticipated PE ratio that enabled you to come up with that target price.
rcdm, as the saying goes, it is better to stay silent and have people think you’re a fool than to post on a BB and remove any doubt.
Sure rcdm was just giddy like the rest of us, what a day.
One Trillion Dollars!
Rcdm, I don't think you've got a clue about MCap or shares in issue.......
Spot on Earth..
Rcdm, are you new to shares? You cannot be serious with that comment! Or are you?
You are not comparing like for like NCYT has 70 or 80 million shares in issue whereas AZN has 1,311.91 million share in issue with market cap of 103 billion. If NCYT were to reach £100 a share its market cap would be 10 to 13 billion approximately.
@rcdm - completely ridiculous statement lol
lolmcshizz, beat me to it...
MCAP of AstraZeneca £120bn+ at £100 a share.
MCAP of Novacyt at £100 a share is only £7bn...
Price per share is irrelevant as a comparison if the number of shares is not the same
AZN were at £100 in summer, so that gives you an idea of the propotion and scale/ size of business that would need to be at that value. NCYT whilst highly exciting is not in the same breath of operation as AZN.
Fantastic mgt team. If winterplex comes thru dont know how to value it, impregnated the world with a razor blade and have bought the factory that makes the razor blades
Sounds absolutely nuts but I’m confident it could happen!
